Automatically Post Your Predictions To Your Blog, Facebook App On The Way
I've added a few new features to the site tonight.
First up, everyone can now get HTML/BBCode/plain-text of season rankings and PPV rankings. Previously it was limited to people in leagues. But now when you pop up the windows for those two sets of data, you can choose to either display rankings for your league or for the entire userbase. If you're not in a league, obviously you can only output the rankings for the entire userbase. It only displays the top 300 users when you don't filter by league. This way, if you're not in a league, you can still grab the rankings in a nice, easy way to post elsewhere if you want.
Second, on the PPV Predictions pop-up for HTML/BBCode/plain-text, there's a new POST TO BLOG checkbox at the top. If you check it and hit the button, the parent window will relocate to the blog entry page and the body of your blog post will contain the HTML version of your PPV predictions from the pop-up. This should make it extremely simple to post your predictions ahead of time on your blog if you want people to see it. You can just go through the text and insert comments if you want to.
And if you're not sure what I'm talking about when I say the HTML/BBCode/plain-text pop-up, go to the command page - it's the drop-down right at the top of the page. (you can also find links on most pages that allow you to pop open the window that's specifically for the page you're on)
And lastly, I've begun work on a Facebook application that will tie directly in to the site! You'll be able to link your Facebook account up with your account here, and then you can do all your predictions straight from Facebook! You can also choose to have your rank displayed on your profile. And anyone who hasn't joined the site can automatically register straight from Facebook. Hopefully this will bring a whole new audience of fans to the site so we can all compete with an even larger amount of people here!
I decided to go ahead and create the Facebook app before finishing the fantasy sports entertainment game since I'd like that to be available through Facebook as soon as it's completed.
