BB Week 2- RoH is important
Big Bubba Redemption week 2- The importance of Ring of Honour
Hey everyone, cymru96 here, once again competing on Big Bubba. This weeks topic is about Ring of Honour, something I know very little about. Ring of honour was founded in 2002 and quickly became one of the most popular wrestling companies in America. The company sold it’s shows on dvd until 2009 when they secured a tv deal. It is now seen as the 3rd best wrestling program behind WWE and TNA. This increase in popularity has seen many top class superstars like Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin join the company. Ring of Honour is important to up and coming superstars because it is a company who focus mainly on wrestling and not other segments. This means the superstars get to show and improve their in ring skills regularly. RoH only hires people for their talent as opposed to other companies who hire people who are well connected (David Otunga anyone?). RoH looks after it’s talent well and this help the superstars develop mic and ring skills. The WWE rush to get their young talent out of FCW and these superstars do not have the same skill level as the guys who stay at RoH for years. Due to their level of commitment during the superstars training, RoH have made stars out of many current WWE and TNA superstars. Here is an a-z of former RoH stars A.J. Styles Becky Bayless (TNA’s Cookie) C.M. Punk Doug Williams EZ Money (TNA) Franky Kazarian Gran Akuma (formerly at TNA) Homicide Ikuto Hidaka (Japan) Jay Lethal Konnan Low Ki Matt Sydal (Evan Bourne) Nigel McGuinness (Desmond Wolfe) Paul London Raven Samoa Joe Trent Acid (R.I.P) Zack Gowan And of course WWE’s Daniel Bryan. RoH have been responsible for creating many of wrestling’s finest competitors and they will surely create many future wrestlers. Some of RoH’s talent right now are attracting the attention of the bigger leagues and soon another RoH competitor, Tyler Black will appear on WWE TV. Here is a list of RoH superstars who are potentially the future of the wrestling industry.
