Big Bubba week 1- Save William Regal

cymru96

Hey people, cymru96 here, competing in big bubba redemption.

Topic- Make a case to save a undercard/midcard superstar and describe how you will give him a push.

Here is William Regal's biography (written by me)

William Regal made his debut in WCW in 1993 and he was there until 1998 when he was fired for refusing to be in a squash match against Goldberg. He then signed with WWE and went to Raw. Regal was fired briefly but was resigned just a few months later. Soon after, Regal was kayfabe fired and has to kiss Mr McMahon's ass to get his job back. Regal continued to work his way up the WWE ranks, winning numerous titles, using his brass knux to win matches until March 2003 when he took a few months off due to health problems.

Regal did not return to TV for over a year when he became the manager of gm Eric Bischoff's nephew, Eugene. This duo produced some golden comedy moments. The partnership ended when Eugene injured his knee. Regal then teamed up with Tajiri to feud with La Resistance. He continued teaming up with Tajiri until they went seperate ways at ECW one night stand in 2005.

Regal was then traded to Smackdown. Regal walked out on his tag team partner Scotty too Hotty and announced that he was going back to being heel- like in his early WWE years. Scotty too Hotty had a match with Regal on Velocity but Scotty won by DQ when Regal's new tag partner, Paul Burchill got involved. A few months later the partnership ended when Burchill became a pirate. When Booker T won king of the ring Regal became sir William Regal. After a short feud with Vito, Regal teamed up with fellow Englishman Dave Taylor. They were involved in the 2006 match of the year in a 4-way tag team ladder match(won by Londrick).

Following the release of Taylor, Regal was drafted to Raw, where he won a battle royal to become the general manager of Raw. On Aprill 21st 2008, Regal won the king of the ring tournament. Regal was now known as King William Regal- The Raw gm. Regal was suspended for 2months after violating the WWE's wellness policy. Regal was subsequently stripped of the general manager's position. Regal returned and was given a valet in Layla. Soon after, Regal won the Intercontinental championship. Regal lost the title, briefly feuded with MVP, and then was drafted to ECW.

Regal started his own faction, the roundtable, with Zeke Jackson and Vladimir Kozlov. Regal feuded with Christian and Kozlov left the faction. After the demise of ECW, Regal went to Raw. Regal was a pro on the first series of NXT and his rookie was Skip Sheffield. Regal breifly teamed up with Kozlov until Kozlov turned on him.

Since then Regal has competed in squash matches and matches on Superstars.

Title History

WCW world television title- 4 times

WWE European title- 4 times

WWE intercontinental title- 2 times

WWE Hardcore title- 1 time

WWE World Tag team titles- 3 times

Regal has an illustrious history, but, the WWE have not thought of any stories for him in a while, and, with the predicted releases in the coming weeks, Regal's job is by no means safe.

If I was in charge of booking the WWE, this is what I would do...

Yoshi Tatsu is getting a push on RAW and he defeats Regal with a roll-up. Regal attacks Tatsu after the match and locks in the Regal stretch. The referee's come down to break it up. The anonymous RAW gm announces that he does not want someone like Regal on his show, so he fires him. Regal is not seen for a few weeks.

At extreme rules Ezekiel Jackson turns on Wade Barrett, costing him his intercontinental title against Kane. On Smackdown Kane issues a open challenge for his title. William Regal returns and takes up the challenge. The match ends with Kane winning by DQ after Wade Barrett interfiers. The next week the Kane vs Wade Barrett rematch is a no contest when Regal and Ezekiel Jackson get involved. The following week Regal and Barrett beat Kane and Jackson when Barrett hit Kane with a wasteland. Regal, Barrett and Jackson have a number one contender match on the next Smackdown but Kane entered and attacked all three competitors. Theodore Long announced a fatal four way match at capitol punishment in 2weeks. On the final Smackdown before Capitol punishment, Regal beat Barrett, and Jackson beat Kane. At capitol punishment, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel sided with Wade Barrett and they took out Ezekiel Jackson pre-match. Regal eventually won the match, making Barrett tap out to the Regal Stretch.

On the first Smackdown after the PPV, Wade Barrett beat Regal to win back the title when the Corre got involved. Barrett, Slater and Gabriel attacked Regal until Ezekiel Jackson made the save. The next week Regal, Jackson and Chris Masters beat Barrett, Slater and Gabriel. On the following show, Regal and Jackson vs Gabriel and Slater ended in a DQ victory for Regal and Jackson when Barrett got involved. This set up a tag title match in a steel cage at Money in the Bank. Regal beat Heath Slater and Zeke Jackson beat Justin Gabriel on the next Smackdown. On the last Smackdown before the PPV, Wade Barrett told Slater and Gabriel that he would not help them because he had to focus on his own match. Regal and Jackson attacked Slater and Gabriel but Barrett did'nt make the save. At the PPV, Regal and Jackson became Tag champions by beating Slater and Gabriel.

Regal and Jackson remain tag champions until night of champions, where they lose to Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty. Regal remained on TV throughout this period, and, after he lost the tag title he remained in the intercontinental title scene.

Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoyed the read.

Peace Out.
