Jeff Hardy vs. Robert Roode (c)

The last month has seen both both competitors booked strongly. Roode has scored a clean victory over AJ Styles and just beat Hardy down to end last Thursday's show. Hardy has scored a singles victory over Bully Ray and a tag victory (w/ Sting) over Ray/Roode.

During the buildup to the Roode/Angle title match at Bound For Glory there were comments made by Hulk Hogan where he said that he didn't think Roode was ready to be champion and that he saw Hardy as the next big thing. It's virtually a lock that Hardy will win the title but the question is whether or not he wins it here. They seem to be pushing the angle that a title win for Hardy will complete his redemption and Sting's sappy endorsement from Thursday makes me think this is the time.

*** Kurt Angle vs. James Storm

The last month has seen these two go back and forth on the mic but they had not wrestled a lot prior to last Thursday. That 6-man tag ended in a No Contest where Angle and other heels beat up the faces. Angle is out for revenge following a clean loss to Storm at Final Resolution and I can't see the same thing happening again. Kurt still has a few months until the Olympic Qualifier in April so we can keep this going for a bit with a DQ.

On a side note Angle has been obsessing over the SuperKick. He has 2 defenses for why Storm didn't deserve last month's win.

1) Storm used a "loaded boot".

2) Excuse 1) doesn't even matter b/c the SuperKick is not a wrestling move. It's a "barfight move". I would love to see said barfight.

*** D'Angelo Dinero vs. Devon

Unless I missed it this fued has gotten zero airtime over the last month. The last altercation saw Devon's kids turn on him and leave with the Pope. It seems too early to end this so my guess is that Devon will have Pope beat but get distracted by his kids. He'll realize that he can't hit them but Pope will recover during the distraciton and get the win.

Zema Ion vs. Jesse Sorensen vs. Kid Kash vs. Austin Aries (c)

The last month has seen Zema Ion win a 2 out of 3 series of matches (over Tony Niese) to earn a spot here. On last Thursday's show Ion/Sorensen beat Kash/Aries with Sorensen scoring the pin on Aries. I don't feel like Sorensen can pin the champ twice in 4 days, Ion's a rookie, and Kash is vet filler. That leaves me with ...

Mickie James vs. Gail Kim (c)

Wild segment on Thursday's show where Kim/Rayne ran into Traci Brooks at the hotel pool and attempted to drown her. Mickie James made the save but we almost had a Murder at the Motel 6.

In the ring Kim has been on roll with wins over James and a tag win (w/ Rayne) over James/Brooks. My interpretation, Kim's due to lose.

For what its worth I did hear a rumor for an upcoming house show that Kim would defend her title against Velvet Sky. I'm disregarding it as misinformation though as I just can't see Kim maintaining this win streak.

Bully Ray vs. Abyss

Upset Alert!!! The stip for this match is that if Abyss loses he must rejoin Immortal. That seems too good to pass up so I'll take Ray with an assist from Stiener.

*** Match for the World Tag Team Championship
Samoa Joe & Brutus Magnus vs. Matt Morgan (c) & Crimson (c)

The team of Magnus/Joe have stung together 3 straight victories to win the Wild Card Tag Tournament while the champs have been inactive. I can't see switching the titles after only a month. If I were writing the story here Joe could blame Magnus for the loss and the champs would go on to fight Ray/Stiener with Abyss in their corner.

My Prediction: Matt Morgan & Crimson, Pinfall, No - no interference

*** Rob Van Dam vs. Gunner

Gunner has been on a tear in the last month where he has hospitalized 3 men at the direction of Ric Flair. Flair probably gets involved but his interference will be countered by Garrett Bischoff (the 1st man hospitalized by Gunner) who returned on Thursday and was placed on the active roster by Sting. Bischoff/Gunner will resume their fued going forward.
