Evil's Backlash Predictions!

This is the first time I've done this and I'm not the most long winded writer so I'll keep most of these short. For every match that I think will end in a clean finish I just choose a pinfall finish because such a high percentage of matches finish by pinfall and it's not really something you can predict based on booking or anything else.

Edge/Cena Last Man Standing for the World Heavyweight Championship
Meltzer has stated that WWE is actually committing to locking the rosters down, preserving the brand split after Backlash and SmackDown! doesn't have a world title right now, so I'm predicting an Edge win here with Cena's concussion as an "excuse". I'm not really sure where Cena goes from here, though. Big Show? I hope not.

Legacy vs. Shane McMahon, Batasta, and Triple H TNA-riffic 6-man Tag for the WWE Championship (DQ/Count out results in title change)
I assume they're using all these stupid stips to get the belt off Triple H without hurting him too much. I see a turn here by either Shane McMahon (if they've lost their minds) or Batista costing Triple H the match. I could see Batista giving Shane a Batista Bomb, which would lead Triple H to attack Batista. That would spill out onto the floor and Orton pins Shane. If they do some bullshit like Ted DiBiase winning the title for Orton I'm going to be pissed.

Christian vs. Jack Swagger for the ECW Championship
Jack Swagger is my favorite guy right now, probably, and this should be a good match. Apparently they've been tearing it up on the house shows and hopefully they feud for a while. It makes sense to have the heel go over first if this is a long term feud so I'm going Swagger here.
PREDICTION: Swagger~! No interference.

Matt Hardy vs. Jeff Hardy I Quit Match
This is probably the hardest match on the card to predict. I assume this is the blow off match because they're on opposite brands. It doesn't really make sense to tie the score up at 1-1 if it's the blow off match but I can't see Matt "winning" the feud so decisively. There's also the wrinkle of the rumors surrounding Jeff's contract status, but I don't think that's going to end up playing into this match because his contract doesn't expire until sometime this Summer and WWE doesn't book farther than 2 weeks in advance most of the time. In the end my gut says Jeff, so I'm going with Jeff.

Ricky Steamboat vs. Chris Jericho in a "SINGLES MATCH" (I know, I know...what's that?)
Uh, I really have no idea where they're going with this. I'm really hoping Jericho kills him and he never appears on my TV again. Nothing against the guy, his previous two appearances where pretty good, but I cringe everytime I see old guys take bumps. I don't like to cringe.

CM Punk vs. Kane
I honestly had no idea this match was on the card until I came to this website to make my predictions. Why is this match taking place? Did they realize they couldn't stretch the Khali segment out to 30 minutes? Can these two work a match without a botched finish? When's the last time Kane won a PPV match?**

Who will kiss The Great Khali?
I'm so glad we have to pay money to see this segment. I'm going to say Santino goes to kiss him and then tries to attack him or something. Khali then gives him a tree slam and raises his hands in the air and hopefully cuts a promo.
PREDICTION: Khali will sadly not get a kiss~!

Will the Money in the Bank briefcase get cashed in at Backlash?
Hopefully not. Is this question going to get asked on every PPV?

I have both world titles changing hands.

So that's that. I guess this turned out to be a lot longer than I expected. This actually could be a pretty good show. Unfortunately I won't get to watch it until Monday night so I'll have to avoid spoilers for a full 24 hours.
