GCW: NXT Redemption (my debut as the writer)

Segment 1~
The opening pyro explodes as GCW: NXT Redemption comes live on the air. Our commentators Matt Stryker and William Regal (who is also the GM) welcome the viewers to the show, and mention that we have a sold out crowd! Then they hype up the fact that were crowning a NXT Champion tonight on the debut!

Segment 2~
William Regal stands up from the commentators table and grabs a mic. He then gets into the ring and the fans are cheering for him.

Regal: Hello I’m William Regal the GM and one of the commentators here on NXT. I have a very important announcement regarding tonight. Whoever wins a match tonight before the main event, will qualify to compete in the main event. This will be an Elimination Match for the NXT Championship!

The fans cheer then Heath Slater music hits. Heath comes down to the ring to a lot of heat.

Slater: How about you just go ahead and put me in a match then Regal! That way I can win it and then move on and win the main event!

Regal: Fine you can have a match! Against one half of the World Tag Team Champions, Justin Gabriel!

Justin Gabriel’s music hits and he comes down to the ring with his tag partner Tyson Kidd. The fans cheer for Gabriel as he climbs up the turnbuckles and poses.

Match 1~
Heath Slater vs. Justin Gabriel/w Tyson Kidd
The bell rings and here we go! The two men lock up and Heath pulls Justin down into a side headlock. But Justin shoves Heath into the ropes, and when Slater rebounds Gabriel hits a dropkick on his opponent! The fans cheer and Tyson Kidd encourages his friend! Gabriel then stand up as Heath is getting to his fate and he drops him with a roundhouse kick. Gabriel drops down and covers, 1…NO! Slater got his shoulder up quickly!

Justin Gabriel then stands up Heath and tosses him toward the corner. But Heath jumps to the second turnbuckle, and then jumps back toward Gabriel and nails a diving clothesline. Slater then stands up and shoves off a bit as Justin is rising to his feet. Slater then grabs Gabriel and tosses him into the ropes! Justin rebounds and Heath hits a spinning spinebuster! Slater covers, 1…2…NO! Justin kicked out! Slater then stands up and walks into the corner and climbs to the second rope. Justin Gabriel gets up and stumbles toward Heath! And Heath dives for a tilt a whirl ddt! But Gabriel catches Heath with a jumping back kick in mid-air!

Both men are down now as that hurt the both of them! But the fans are doing a slow cap for Justin Gabriel! And Gabriel is rising to his feet. Justin climbs to the top rope and dives for the 450 Splash. But Heath Slater rolled out of the way and Gabriel hit the mat! Heath then stands up Justin and nails the Sweetness. Slater covers, 1…2…3! Slater will be in the main event!
Winner: Heath Slater

Match 2~
Percy Watson & Derrick Bateman vs. Tyler Rekks & Curt Hawkins
Percy Watson & Derrick Bateman are already in the ring getting a good reaction. But then Tyler Rekks music hits and he comes out with Curt Hawkins to a lot of heat. They get booed all the way to the ring and they don’t look happy about it. Tyler Rekks and Derrick Bateman will be starting this match off. The bell rings and here we go! The two men lock up and Rekks backs Bateman into the corner, but the ref forces a break. Rekks then turns away to show off but takes heat for it. Then when he turns around Derrick charges him and nails a clothesline!

The crowd cheers for Derrick as he then stands up Tyler and quickly nails a belly to belly suplex. Bateman then tags out to Percy Watson. Rekks tries to crawl to his corner but Percy grabs his leg and pulls him to the center of the ring. But Tyler kicks Percy away and stands up. Tyler charges Watson, but Percy elbows him in the jaw! Tyler stumbles back and then Percy nails an uppercut. Rekks stumbles into the corner and Percy charges and nails a corner splash! Watson shoves Tyler to the center of the ring and then hits him with an enzuigiri! Percy Watson covers, 1…2….NO! Tyler Rekks kicked out!

Percy then locks in a headlock on Tyler Rekks. Tyler Rekks is struggling to reach his teammate! But Percy Watson has the submission locked in tight! Can Rekks make it? He does! Rekks tags in Curt Hawkins. Watson quickly stands up as Hawkins uses the ropes to springboard in! Hawkins is trying for a springboard crossbody, but Watson hits him with a dropkick in mid-air! Percy scrambles and covers, 1…2…NO! Tyler Rekks broke up the pin.

Now Derrick Bateman is calling for the tag. Percy Watson stands up and tags in Bateman. Bateman gets in and turns his back to Hawkins and tells Percy that he is going to finish the match. But then he turns around into a shoulder tackle from Curt Hawkins. Bateman gets up and Hawkins hits the ropes. Curt rebounds and Derrick drops to the floor and Curt hits the ropes again. Then Hawkins rebounds and Bateman is on his feet, so Curt leaps over him and hits the ropes again. Bateman spins around and waits for Curt to rebound. But Curt doesn’t rebound, he held onto the ropes and Derrick is confused. Hawkins runs up and kicks Bateman in the face! Bateman falls to the mat and Curt covers, 1…NO! Bateman kicked out!

Curt Hawkins then stands up and walks into the corner. He climbs to the top rope and I think he might be trying for the Heat Seeking Elbow. But Derrick Bateman punches him, and Hawkins drops and hits his groin on the turnbuckle. Bateman then climbs up to the top rope with Hawkins. And Derrick tries for a superplex! But Hawkins doesn’t budge! Hawkins shoves Bateman off the top rope! Bateman hits the mat, Hawkins dives for the Heat Seeking Elbow. But Bateman rolls out of the way, and Curt Hawkins hits the mat and does a summersault!

Curt jumps up to his feet and spins around to face Bateman. And Bateman immediately tries for the Man-Tastic. But Hawkins shoves Bateman into the ropes! Derrick rebounds and when he returns and Hawkins hits the Laugh Riot. No Bateman shoved Hawkins into the corner! Bateman charges for a corner clothesline! But Curt jumps out of the corner! Bateman hits the turnbuckles and stumbles back toward Hawkins.

Curt goes to grab Derrick for the Laugh Riot. But Derrick hits a spinning back kick, and then tries for the Man-Tastic. But Hawkins punches Bateman, and then nails the Laugh Riot. Hawkins then climbs to the top rope, dives, and hits the Heath Seeking Elbow. Hawkins covers, 1…2…3! Tyler Rekks and Curt Hawkins celebrate! They will be moving onto the main event!

Segment 3~
Tyler Rekks & Curt Hawkins are backstage celebrating their win.

Rekks: Man that was so awesome! We were great I can’t wait for the main event! Curt can I ask you a favor?

Hawkins: Sure what man?

Rekks: Well I mean obviously between the two of us I have the most talent, so do you think you could get eliminated in the main event tonight, so it makes it easier for me to win?

Hawkins: What are you kidding me? Tyler I deserve just as a much chance, I mean I won our tag team match!

Rekks: Yea but I’m better, I mean when people mention us they say Tyler Rekks & Curt Hawkins, not the other way around! Please do this for me!

Hawkins: Whatever!

Rekks: Thanks man!

Rekks walks off and Hawkins looks upset.

Match 3~
Number One Contender Battle Royale for the NXT Divas Championship
The Divas participating in this match are Maryse, Alicia Fox, Katelyn, Kelly Kelly, and Eve. The bell rings and here we go! A brawl breaks out instantly, Alicia Fox attacks Maryse, while Katelyn and Kelly Kelly team against Eve. Maryse is getting pounded on in the corner by right hands from Alicia. Alicia then shoves Maryse to the center of the ring, does a cartwheel, and then elbows her in the face. Alicia then grabs Maryse and tries to eliminate her, but Maryse stops herself from going over and then kicks Alicia in the stomach!

Meanwhile Eve has mounted a comeback against Katelyn, while Kelly Kelly is just standing up from a hard clothesline given to her by Eve. Eve seems to be in control but Katelyn reverses a suplex by Eve and hits an inverted ddt. But Katelyn then stands up and Kelly nails a big boot! Katelyn stumbles backward and falls over the ropes! And Kelly thinks she eliminated Katelyn! But no, Katelyn hung on and is on the apron. Kelly turns around and Katelyn grabs her and pulls her over the ropes then drops her to the floor!

Kelly Kelly Eliminated

Katelyn then climbs in and begins to punch Eve who was just getting up from the ddt. Katelyn backs Eve into the corner and sets her up in the tree of woe and begins stomping on her chest and neck! The ref gives Katelyn a warning and Katelyn backs off but is getting cheered by the fans. Meanwhile Alicia Fox and Maryse are in the center of the ring trading blows back and forth! Kicks, punches, everything is being put out by these two women. Eventually Maryse ducks a punch then shoves Alicia into the ropes. Fox rebounds and Maryse nails a shoulder tackle! Maryse then picks up Alicia and tries to eliminate her in by throwing her out in a fireman carry position. But Alicia reverses it in mid-air and smack Maryse’s face against the ropes. Fox then lands behind Maryse and then shoves her out.

Maryse Eliminated

Alicia Fox then turns her attention to Eve and Katelyn. She yells at the two women and they turn to her. Alicia then charges them and nails a double clothesline. She then stands up Eve and tosses her out of the ring. Then she stands up Katelyn and tosses her into the ropes. But Katelyn jumps over her when she returns. Alicia turns around and Katelyn nails her with a Spinning Spinebuster. Katelyn then stands up Alicia Fox and tosses her out of the ring.

Alicia Fox Eliminated

Katelyn is celebrating her victory then Tamina walks out on the stage with her title belt over her shoulder. Tamina taunts Katelyn and Katelyn just shakes her head.
Winner: Katelyn

Segment 4~
Backstage Michael McGillicutty is walking around bragging about his match against Alex Riley for later tonight. He is trash talking to all of the superstars then he bumps into Mason Ryan. He shoves Mason then walks off. Mason looks pissed.

Commercial Break

Match 4~
Alex Riley vs. Michael McGillicutty
Alex Riley’s music hits and he walks down to the ring to a nice reaction. Out next is Michael McGillicutty who gets massive heat. Were reminded by Matt Striker that backstage before the commercial Michael McGillicutty shoved Mason Ryan for no reason! McGillicutty gets in the ring and instantly attacks Alex Riley. The ref finally rings the bell and McGillicutty already has Riley on the floor after a suplex. Michael covers, 1…NO! Kick out by Riley. McGillicutty then stands up Alex and nails a fireman carry slam. Michael then hits the ropes, rebounds and drops an elbow across Alex’s chest. Michael covers, 1…2…NO! Alex Riley kicked out again!

McGillicutty then stands up Alex but gets shoved into the corner. Riley then charges for a clothesline, but Michael elbows him in the jaw. Michael then tosses Riley into the ropes and hits a scoop slam off the return. Michael now backs off into the corner, and waits for Riley to get up. Alex gets to his feet and Michael goes for the McGillicutter. But Mason Ryan’s music hits.

Mason Ryan runs down to the ring and teases climbing in. This distracts McGillicutty long enough for Alex Riley to gain his balance. McGillicutty eventually turns away from Mason after exchanging words, but when he turns around Alex hits him with the Your Dismissed out of nowhere. Alex Riley covers, 1…2…3! And Alex Riley picked up the victory thanks to Mason Ryan! The fans cheer for Alex Riley as he celebrates, and they also cheer for Mason Ryan who walks off laughing. McGillicutty however looks pissed!
Winner: Alex Riley

Commercial Break

Main Event~
Elimination Match for the NXT Championship
We return and in the ring all of the men who won matches through the night have made their entrances. They are Alex Riley, Tyler Rekks, Curt Hawkins, and Heath Slater. The bell rings and here we go! Tyler Rekks & Curt Hawkins attack Alex Riley, and Riley calls for help from Heath Slater. But Slater just laughs and sits in the corner. Tyler Rekks sees this and tells Curt Hawkins to take care of Riley and he will handle Slater. Tyler Rekks then begins to trade blows with Heath. But Rekks gains control and begins kicking Heath ferioucusly in the stomach! Tyler Rekks then nails a huge powerslam on Heath and covers, 1…2…NO! Slater kicked out!

Meanwhile Curt Hawkins is setting up Alex Riley for a superplex. But both men slip and they fall to the mat. Tyler Rekks sees this and he rushes over to help of Curt Hawkins, but then he sees Alex Riley who appears to be hurt badly. And instead of helping Hawkins he tries to pin Alex, 1…2…NO! Riley kicked out at 2! Hawkins seems a little pissed but he shakes it off and focuses his attention on Heath Slater.
Heath is slowly standing up and Curt hits him with a fisherman suplex. Curt then begins to climb up to the top rope, but Tyler Rekks tosses Alex Riley into the ropes, and that raddles the turnbuckles and Hawkins falls off. Hawkins looks upset with Rekks, and this distracts him long enough for Heath Slater to hit him with a dropkick!

Back to Alex Riley and Tyler Rekks the two spill out of the ring and continue their battle. Their trading punch on the outside, but eventually Alex reverses a punch and sends Rekks into the steel steps. Tyler falls over the steps and lands on the opposite side. He then gets up in a seated position, but Alex comes charging around the corner of the steps and knees him in the face. The ref then reaches a seven count, so Alex stands up Rekks and puts him back in the ring. Rekks stands up and Alex springboards in and nails a crossbody! Alex covers, 1…2…NO! Tyler Rekks kicked out!

Alex Riley then locks in a headlock submission. Meanwhile Heath Slater tries for the Sweetness on Curt Hawkins. But Curt counters with a big boot. Hawkins covers, 1…2…NO! Kick out by Slater. Curt then allows Heath to get up and he nails him with the Laugh Riot. Hawkins covers, 1…2…3! And Curt Hawkins has just eliminated Heath Slater!

Heath Slater Eliminated

Curt then stands up and Tyler Rekks whips Alex Riley across the ring, and Riley collides with Hawkins. Curt looks pissed and asks Tyler why he did that. Rekks says it was an accident. Hawkins then stands up Alex Riley and begins to unleash right hands on him. Curt then nails him with a powerbomb. Hawkins climbs to the top rope and is about to dive for the Heath Seeking Elbow. But Tyler Rekks asks him what he is doing, by this time Alex Riley is getting to his feet. Rekks tells Hawkins to get down and let Riley pin him. Hawkins then climbs down and actually lays on the mat. Alex Riley covers him, 1…2…3!

Curt Hawkins just let Alex Riley pin him because Rekks told him to! Riley then stands up and celebrates like he won the match. But he forgot about Tyler Rekks. Riley turns around and Tyler nails him with powerbomb then covers him, 1…2…3! And Tyler Rekks Just won the NXT Championship! The fans are booing Rekks as Hawkins then raises Tyler Rekks arm, regardless of Tyler Rekks treating Hawkins like dirt! The show goes off the air with Tyler Rekks celebrating with his title belt.
Winner: The new NXT Champion, Tyler Rekks
