WWE Optimus Friday Night SmackDown 9/29/12

Segment 1~
The opening pyro explodes as WWE: Optimus Friday Night SmackDown comes live on the air from Buffalo, New York! The fans are going crazy as Michael Cole and Josh Matthews welcome us to the show and hype up the matches for tonight!

Segment 2~
Randy Orton’s music hits and he comes out with his World Heavyweight Championship belt over his shoulders. The fans go wild and cheer him on and he walks to the ring slowly. He grabs a mic and climbs in.

Orton: I am the World Heavyweight Champion!!!

The fans cheer.

Orton: It has been awhile since I have had this prestigious championship in my grasp!!! And I will never let it go!!! I will have this championship for a long, long time. I will hold it till WrestleMania!!!

The fans cheer again but then CM Punk’s music hits. CM Punk comes out to a decent pop as he walks down to the ring confidently. He grabs a mic then climbs into the ring.

Punk: Randy I would first like to congratulate you for being the World Heavyweight Champion!!! Then I would secondly like to challenge you for the World Heavyweight Championship!!!

But before Orton can respond, Kofi Kingston’s music hits. Kofi walks down to the ring and is taking a lot of heat. He climbs into the ring and calls for a mic. A crew member hands him one.

Kingston: What makes you think Punk that you’re allowed just to waltz down to the ring and challenge the World Heavyweight Champion?

Punk: I don’t know Kofi… Maybe because I’m the best in the world!!!

The fans cheer big for Punk.

Kingston: How is that possible when you haven’t beaten me recently???

The fans boo as Kingston laughs at Punk.

Orton: Hey I have an idea, how about you two face each other tonight, and the winner becomes the number one contender for my championship!!!

The fans go crazy then the GM, Teddy Long appears on the screen.

Long: That is a great idea Randy! Tonight’s main event will be CM Punk vs. Kofi Kingston! Winner faces Randy Orton at Hell In A Cell!!!

The fans cheer as Kofi and CM Punk stare each other down and Randy Orton
walks off.

Commercial Break

Match 1~
The Miz/w Alex Riley vs. Brodus Clay
The Miz’s music hits and he walks down to the ring with Alex Riley. He climbs into the ring and calls for a mic.

Miz: I know me and Alex are signed to Raw. But Teddy Long asked if I would compete on SmackDown tonight, and I agreed!!!

Miz throws his mic out of the ring then Brodus Clay’s music hits and Brodus comes walking down to the ring. Clay gets a big pop as he climbs into the ring and him, Cameron and Naomi start dancing. But then Miz attacks Brodus from behind and hits him with a forearm smash to the back of the head. The Miz then backs Brodus into the corner and begins hitting him in the stomach with right and left hands. Miz then backs off, and charges for something, but Brodus hits him with a huge headbutt!!! Brodus then hits the ropes, returns, and tries for the Big Splash. But The Miz rolls out of the way!!! Miz pins Clay, 1…2…NO!!! Brodus kicked out!!!

Miz then stands up Brodus, but gets shoved into the ropes. Miz returns and Clay clotheslines him. Clay then stands up Miz and hits a big fireman carry slam. Miz then tries to stand but falls into the corner. Brodus charges and nails a big boot in the corner. Miz then stumbles to the center of the ring. Brodus hits the ropes, returns to Miz and tries for the What the Funk. But Miz nails a back kick to Clay’s stomach, and then tries for a snap ddt. But Brodus pulls Miz’s legs out from underneath him, and then hits an elbow drop!!! Brodus covers, 1…2…NO!!! Miz kicked out!!!

Brodus then stands up Miz, but Damien Sandow’s music hits. Sandow comes onto the stage and begins to yell at Brodus Clay. This distracts Brodus and Miz gets to his feet. Brodus finally turns back around and Miz is on the top rope, dives, and hits a missile dropkick!!! Miz covers, 1…2…3!!! And Miz got the win thanks to the distraction from Damien Sandow!!! Miz begins to celebrate with Alex Riley, as Brodus Clay gets out of the ring and chases Damien Sandow to the back!!!
Winner: The Miz

Match 2~
Tyson Kidd vs. Epico/w Primo & Rosa Mendez
We return from the break and Tyson Kidd is in the ring getting a big pop, and out comes Epico with Primo and Rosa Mendez. Epico gets a decent pop as he walks to the ring and gets in. He shakes hands with Tyson before the bell rings. When the bell rings the two wrestlers lock up in the center of the ring, Tyson goes behind Epico and tries for a German suplex. But Epico fights it off, and slips behind Tyson and tries to chop him in the back of the knee. But Kidd hits a back kick, turns around and tries for an enzuigiri. But Epico ducks it, and goes behind Tyson, then hits a bridging belly to back suplex, 1…NO!!! Tyson Kidd powered out!!!

Epico then transitions behind Tyson, stands him up, and whips him into the ropes. But Tyson rebounds and hits a flying forearms smash!!! Tyson then hits the ropes and connects with a springboard elbow drop!!! Tyson then stands up and walks into the corner and climbs to the top rope. But as he is climbing Epico gets up to his feet. Tyson turns around on the top turnbuckle and Epico is there and hits a dropkick to him. And Tyson falls and hits his groin on the top turnbuckle. Epico then grabs Tyson by the arm and hits an arm drag. Epico then climbs to the top rope, but Tyson gets back up as Epico is climbing and throws him off the top rope. Tyson then climbs back up and hits a moonsault. Tyson covers, 1…2…NO!!! Epico kicked out!!!

Tyson Kidd then locks in the Sharpshooter. And Epico is trying to reach the ropes!!! But he can’t and he taps out!!! Tyson Kidd gets up and begins celebrating. Kidd then helps Epico to his feet, but Epico kicks him in the stomach. Primo then gets in and joins in on the assault. And the cousins beat Tyson Kidd down. They then walk off with Rosa to a lot of heat.
Winner: Tyson Kidd

Segment 3~
Backstage CM Punk is walking around; he looks prepared for his match up. But then out of nowhere Lord Tensai appears behind Punk and begins to beat the hell out of Punk. Tensai punches Punk, then grabs him and throws him into a steel crate!!! Tensai is laughing as Kofi Kingston then walks in and shakes hands with Tensai. And then as security approaches Kingston runs off!!! Well Kofi must have had something to do with that attack on CM Punk!!!

Match 3~
Wade Barrett vs. Intercontinental Champion, Ted Dibiase Jr.
Wade Barrett’s music hits first and he walks to a lot of heat. He just yells at the fans as he makes his way to the ring for this non-title match up. Out next is Ted Dibiase Jr., the son of the Million Dollar Man!!! Ted Dibiase makes his way to the ring and gets a big pop. He climbs in and has a stare down with Barrett before the bell rings.

The bell rings and the Wade starts off early with right hands to Ted’s head. Wade then grabs Ted and tosses him into the ropes. But on the return Dibiase hits a shoulder tackle. Ted then runs and hits the ropes as Barrett gets to his feet. Dibiase returns and leaps over Wade, then hits the ropes again. But when he returns Wade nails a big boot!!! Wade covers, 1…NO!!! Dibiase kicked out!!!

Wade then stands up Dibiase and hits him with a few right hands, before hitting a fisherman suplex that launches Ted into the corner. Ted stands up in the corner, and Wade charges and hits a big corner clothesline!!! And Ted hits the mat and rolls out of the ring as we head to commercial break!!!

Commercial Break

We come back and we see a replay of what happened on the break. Wade attacked Ted outside of the ring then rolled him back in before the ref reached 10. In the ring Barrett is climbing to the top rope while Ted is out on the mat. And Wade dives and hits an elbow drop!!! Barrett then stands up and grabs Ted and tries to whip him into the ropes, but Dibiase reverses and sends Wade into the corner. Barrett hits the corner hard, and then stumbles back to Dibiase. And Dibiase nails a spinebuster and covers, 1…2…NO!!! Wade kicked out!!! Dibiase then stands up Wade and tries for the Dream Street. But Wade doesn’t budge, and actually picks Dibiase up for a Wasteland. But Ted slips through over Barrett’s shoulders, and rolls him up, 1…2…NO!!! Wade reversed the roll up, 1…2…NO!!! Dibiase kicked out!!!

Both men stand up on opposite sides of the ring and charge each other. And they both hit clotheslines in the center of the ring and fall to the mat. The ref begins to count to 10. But Ted gets up first and he goes and grabs Wade. But Wade shoves Dibiase back. Ted charges back, but Barrett nails an elbow to Ted’s head. Then picks him up and tries for another Wasteland. But Dibiase slips through again and stands behind Wade. Barrett turns around and Ted tries for a clothesline. But Wade grabs him and nails the Winds of Change. Wade covers, 1…2…NO!!! Ted kicked out!!! Wade can’t believe it so he stands up Ted for the Wasteland. But gets shoved into the ropes, Barrett returns and Ted nails the Dream Street. Dibiase covers, 1…2…3!!! And Dibiase did it!!! Dibiase won this impressive non-title match!!!
Winner: Ted Dibiase

Segment 4~
Seth Rollins is backstage with Matt Striker.

Striker: Ladies and gentleman, please welcome my guest at this time Seth Rollins! Seth tonight you make your huge debut on SmackDown. Your first major appearance on a main brand! How do you feel about your match against Santino Marella tonight?

Rollins: Matt I feel great. I’m honored to be here on SmackDown, and I hope that I impress the management around here so I can climb up the totem pole. I’m going to scratch my way to the top, even if that means taking out a fan favorite like Santino. You know he is talented, but this is my time to shine!!!

Santino then shows up behind Seth with the Cobra out like he might hit him with it. But Seth turns around and the two shake hands.

Marella: Good luck tonight kid!

Rollins: Thanks man!

Match 4~
The Reformers vs. The Uso’s
Out first are Los Luchadores, the tag team champions Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara. They get a big reaction as they walk down to the announcer table. Out next is The Reformers, Cody Rhodes and Daniel Bryan. They both walk out with mics.

Rhodes: Ladies and gentleman!!!

Bryan: Welcome to our first demonstration!!!

Rhodes: Demonstration you ask. Please allow my friend to inform you.

Bryan: It would be my pleasure!!! Everyone me and Mr. Rhodes are The Reformers!!! W e will be changing the landscape of the WWE, tag team by tag team.

Rhodes: One… by one…

Bryan: We will be annihilating our opponents!!!

Rhodes: Dominating everyone that gets in our way!!!

Bryan: Until we get a shot at the tag team championships!!!

Rhodes: So Uso’s prepared to be…

Rhodes & Bryan: REFORMED!!!

Rhodes and Bryan climb into the ring as Rey and Sin Cara shake their heads. Then The Uso’s music hits and the two brothers do their dance and chant, then walk to the ring. But as soon as Jey gets into compete, Daniel Bryan charges him and begins to punch him in the stomach aggressively. Daniel then begins hitting kicks to Jey’s midsection. Daniel then whips Jey toward the corner with Rhodes. Rhodes grabs Jey’s arms and traps him. Bryan then begins attacking with kicks. Daniel then tags in Cody.

Cody comes in and whips Jey into the ropes and nails a shoulder tackle. Rhodes then stands up Jey and nails a ddt. He then covers him, 1…2…NO!!! Jimmy broke it up. Rhodes then attacks Jimmy, but the ref breaks it up, this allows Jey to roll up Cody, 1…NO!!! Cody powered out. Both men stand up and Cody tries for a right hand that gets blocked by Jey, Jey then counters with a superkick!!! Jey covers, 1…2…NO!!! Rhodes kicked out!!!

Jey then grabs Rhodes by the arm and tags in Jimmy. Jimmy climbs to the top rope while Jey is still holding Cody’s arm. Jimmy dives off the top rope and nails a leg drop across Cody’s arm. Cody falls to the mat, but Daniel pulls him out of the ring to help him. But around the corner of the ring comes Jey. Jey jumps off the steel steps and takes out Rhodes and Bryan both with a splash!!! Now all the men are down and Jimmy runs over, grabs Cody, rolls him in the ring, covers, 1…2…NO!!! Rhodes kicked out. Jimmy then gets to his feet climbs to the top ropes, dives for a Superfly Splash. But Cody got his foot up and kicked Jimmy in the head!!! Cody scrambles and covers, 1…2…NO!!! Jey got in and broke it up!!!

But Daniel Bryan gets in and attacks Jey. Now Jey is brawling with Bryan, and Jimmy is brawling with Cody!!! And they spill out of the ring!!! But Daniel and Cody gain control and send The Uso’s into the security barrier!!! And the two are hurt and confused. Then Daniel climbs to onto the ring apron and Rhodes gets into the ring, and tags in Daniel, but The Uso’s didn’t see it. Jimmy finally gets back up and climbs in and tries to attack Rhodes.

But Cody lures him toward his corner by Bryan. Cody then drops to the mat and Bryan hits an enzuigiri on Jimmy from the ring apron. Daniel then climbs to the top rope, dives, and hits the diving headbutt!!! And Bryan scrambles and covers, 1…2…3!!! And Daniel Bryan and Cody Rhodes won!!! And what an action packed match that was!!! The Reformers celebrate as Los Luchadores help The Uso’s get backstage!!!

Segment 5~
We see a replay of Punk being attacked by Lord Tensai backstage. And how Kofi Kingston thanked Tensai for it. Then we go to the training room where CM Punk is talking to a doctor.

Doctor: Punk I’m sorry your ribs are too bruised for you to compete tonight!!!

Punk: No you can’t stop me; this is a number one contender’s match for the World Championship!!! I am competing!!!

The doctor just shakes his head as Punk walks off angrily.

Match 5~
Santino Marella vs. Seth Rollins
We return and Santino is already in the ring and Seth Rollins comes out to a mixed reaction. He walks to the ring and gets in. The bell rings and Seth instantly gains control with kicks to Santino. Then he drops Santino with a back heel kick. Rollins then climbs to the top rope, hits a diving crossbody. Stands up Santino and nails him with Avada Kedavra. Rollins covers, 1…2…3!!! And Seth Rollins just dominated Santino on his debut match!!! Rollins once again receives a mixed reaction as he celebrates!!!
Winner: Seth Rollins

Main Event~
Number One Contender’s Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Kofi Kingston vs. CM Punk
Kingston is out first and gets a lot of heat. The fans boo him all the way to the ring. Then CM Punk’s music hits, Punk doesn’t do his typical entrance; he just walks to the ring holding his ribs. The bell rings and Punk charges Kofi but stumbles to the mat in pain. Kofi starts to laugh then kicks Punk in the ribs. The fans boo as Kofi then stands up Punk, sends him into the corner, charges, and hits a rising knee lift to Punk’s ribs!!! Kofi is targeting Punk’s ribs heavily, knowing there bruised!!!

Kofi then tosses Punk into the ropes and on the return hits a jumping STO. Then CM Punk gets back up quickly but Kofi nails an arm drag!!! Kofi covers, 1…2…NO!!! He pulls up Kingston’s shoulders before the ref reached 3!!! Kofi is just toying with CM Punk, this is awful!!! Kofi then stands up Punk and hits a fireman carry slam. He then covers again, 1…2…NO!!! He pulled up Punk’s shoulders again!!!

Kofi then grabs CM Punk and tosses him out of the ring, and Kofi follows. He grabs Punk and sends him into the ring post, then into the ring apron, then into the security barrier!!! The fans boo like crazy!!! Kofi then grabs Punk and hits a belly to belly suplex!!! And Kofi is just dominating this match!!! Kingston then grabs CM Punk and puts him back into the ring!!! Kofi then climbs to the top rope as CM Punk gets to his feet. And Kingston dives for a hurricaranna!!! But Punk counters with a dropkick!!! Now both men are down, but Punk is slowly stirring.

Punk gets up and grabs Kofi then nails a German suplex. Punk then climbs to the top rope, dives and hits the Macho Man Elbow. The crowd goes wild!!! And Punk is seriously hurt but he is mounting a comeback!!! Punk and Kofi both stand up and Punk kicks Kofi in the leg, then the chest, then tries for a head kick!!! But Kofi ducks and hits a spinning heel kick!!! Punk then stands up and stumbles into the corner. Kingston charges for a clothesline, but CM Punk jumps out of the corner. And Kofi hits the post hard!!! Punk then charges and hits the Step Up Knee. Kingston stumbles out of the corner; Punk picks him up on his shoulders, and nails the GTS.
Punk covers, 1…2…3!!! And oh my CM Punk did it!!! CM Punk just won the match!!! He will be facing Randy Orton at Hell In A Cell!!!

As Punk is celebrating the same doctor that was talking with him backstage walks down to the ring and begins to talk privately with Lillian Garcia. Punk is standing in the ring confused, and Kofi looks the same on the outside of the ring. Then the doctor and Lillian separate as Lillian grabs a mic.

Garcia: Due to the injury CM Punk suffered earlier tonight, he was not medically cleared to compete in this match. Therefore the win does not count, and the number one contendership goes to Kofi Kingston by default!!!

The fans boo as Punk looks pissed and begins yelling at the doctor. But Kofi gets in the ring and begins to attack Punk. But here comes Randy Orton to try to save Punk. But as Orton is running down the ramp, Lord Tensai comes out of the crowd and clotheslines Orton!!! Kofi then nails Punk with the S.O.S in the ring. The Tensai nails Orton with the Fall Forward Chokebomb onto the steel ramp!!! The fans boo Kofi and Tensai as they walk off laughing, leaving Punk and Orton seriously hurt!!!
Winner: Kofi Kingston by default
