Turning Point Predictions from Cletus

As usual with TNA, I'll include brief thoughts on each but I'm willfully ignorant about TNA storylines so go with my picks at your own risk!

No Surrender: #173 (Site) -- #6 (League: WrestleHut 2000)

*** Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Samoa Joe vs. Christopher Daniels vs. AJ Styles (c) 

My Prediction: AJ Styles, No - no interference

My Thoughts: Well, I'd be shocked if Stlyes didn't retain after retaining against Sting.  Especially against a guy who lost to Lashley at the last PPV and a guy who's been in the X-Division most recently.  I think TNA is giving us this match because we want to see it, but I don't expect a shocking ending.

*** Match for the World Tag Team Championship
MCMG vs Beer Money vs The British Invasion (c)

My Prediction: Doug Williams & Brutus Magnus, Pinfall

My Thoughts: I think they'll retain.  Beer Money was just thrown into the match, and as far as I know, TNA mangement isn't that high on MCMG.  It'll be good for British Invasion to retain - the tag titles have moved around so much (or maybe they've just had too many tag titles) that I'd like to see a team hold them for a while.

*** Kurt Angle vs. Desmond Wolfe

My Prediction: Desmond Wolfe, Pinfall, Yes - interference

My Thoughts: This is my risky pick.  Why debut Wolfe and immediately put him against Angle unless you're going to do the shocking upset?  I picked interference because I would expect something to cause Angle to lose - a distraction at the least.

*** Match for the X Division Championship
Homicide vs. Amazing Red (c) 

My Prediction: Amazing Red, Pinfall, Yes - interference

My Thoughts: Again, going with the champion retaining.  Totally a guess. :)

*** Scott Steiner vs. Bobby Lashley

My Prediction: Bobby Lashley, Submission, No - no interference

My Thoughts: This is the no-brainer one here.  TNA is building Lashley up for something big (and banking on him winning when he has his MMA fights), and they're not going to kill it by giving Steiner the win.  Well, unless a cattle prod somehow gets involved.

*** Six Sides of Steel Weapons Match,
Awesome Kong vs. Tara

My Prediction: Awesome Kong

My Thoughts: TNA needs to build Kong back up.  That's why I'm going with her.

*** Match for the Knockout's and Knockout's Tag Team Championships
The Beautiful People vs ODB (c) & Sarita (c) and Wilde (c)

My Prediction: Sarita & Taylor Wilde & ODB

My Thoughts: Well, I could easily see it going The Beautiful People's way, and then some sort of drama over who gets what title (unless it's been determined already?).  But I'd hate to see the titles change in this kind of match.  One on one I'd be happy to have ODB drop the title (not a fan of hers at all) but they need to be careful with their Knockout's division after some of the stuff they've done in past months.

*** Will Hulk Hogan or Eric Bischoff make a live appearance at Turning Point?

My Prediction: No

My Thoughts: Well, the majority of you who've played think they will appear (well, one of the two of them), but I don't expect it until after Hogan's Australia tour.  Unless TNA plans on helping promote that.

*** Will any of the following wrestlers make an appearance during Turning Point?

My Prediction:
None of the above

My Thoughts: This was more of a fun question for me..  since everyone's been talking about Hogan bringing in his clique.  Though I would say there's a better chance of one of these choices appearing over Hogan right now, possibly to build to Hogan's debut.

*** How many titles will change hands at Turning Point?

My Prediction: None

My Thoughts: Yeah, at a PPV named "Turning Point", where you'd think maybe something huge would happen..  I'm picking no title changes. 

Hogan COULD always appear after the main event and demand a match with AJ and win the title..  that would count as a title change.  But I'm still not going with any changes. :)
