No Way Out Predictions from Cletus

No Way Out is one of my now-favorite WWE PPVs to look forward to each year, since it actually has real implications now that every major title is defended.  I'd say since 2008, my favorites are:  Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, Night of Champions, and No Way Out coming in fourth.  (shame that WWE has dropped the ball with SummerSlam and Survivor Series lately, hopefully that will change in 2009)

So here are my personal predictions for the show!

*** Elimination Chamber - World Heavyweight Championship

My Prediction: John Cena

My Thoughts: The only viable contender here is Chris Jericho, and besides losing to Cena any time they meet up, we know his role at WrestleMania is pretty much set in stone.  I guess WWE thinks having Cena retain the title in a match that essentially strips the champion of the title going into it will make him look stronger going into WM.  With these challengers, though, that's a joke.  I think Knox will eliminate Mysterio, Kane will eliminate Kingston, and Cena will eliminate the rest.  Not looking forward to this match at all. 

*** Elimination Chamber - WWE Championship

My Prediction: Triple H

My Thoughts: I'm going with Triple H because I personally think a match against Orton at WM is the best choice over on Smackdown.  Edge has fought all of the other possibilities on Smackdown numerous times and I think it'd be pretty dull to repeat any of those matches on what should be the freshest card of the year in WM. 

*** Match for the ECW Championship
Finlay vs. Jack Swagger (c) 

My Prediction: Jack Swagger, Pinfall

My Thoughts: While I'd love to see Finlay with the ECW title, let's just say I think Hornswoggle needs to disappear before that should happen.  And I think they need to keep Swagger's momentum going strong - especially with the way Christian tore him down on TV this past week.

*** Randy Orton vs Shane McMahon, No Holds Barred

My Prediction: Randy Orton

My Thoughts: Yeah, if the challenger in the main event at WM25 loses to a McMahon going into the show, WWE has no idea what they're doing.  But I wouldn't be surprised to see something crazy happen that ensures Orton gets the win..  (more on that later)

*** Shawn Michaels vs. JBL

My Prediction: Shawn Michaels, Pinfall, Yes - interference

My Thoughts: While I'd like to see this feud continue, since I've been enjoying it, I don't know how they'd continue it with the "All-or-Nothing stipulation" happening on the show.  If JBL wins, why would he EVER give HBK a rematch?  That would be the dumbest booking in the history of wrestling if you ask me, considering JBL would have nothing more to gain.

*** Will Stephanie McMahon attack or be attacked by Shane McMahon during the PPV?

My Prediction: Yes

My Thoughts: This would be the crazy thing happening that would help Orton get the win.  Hopefully it wouldn't be booked in a way that would make it look like Orton would have lost if Stephanie didn't interfere, but a deal with Stephanie would add some intrigue to a HHH/Orton match at WM.  Orton's got a hostage..  it's my wife!

*** Will Christian make an appearance during the ECW Championship match?

My Prediction: Yes

My Thoughts: I think they would have waited to debut Christian after the PPV if he weren't going to get involved here. 

*** Who will eliminate The Undertaker during the WWE Championship match?

My Prediction: Vladimir Kozlov

My Thoughts:  Since I don't see Kozlov leaving with the title, that means he'll have to suffer his first pinfall/submission loss here.  Giving him the Undertaker elimination will balance that out.  It's not what I want to see, but it makes sense to me.

*** Will John Cena score the most eliminations of anyone in either Elimination Chamber match?

My Prediction: Yes

My Thoughts: I think Cena will eliminate Knox, Kane, and Jericho for a total of 3 people.  No way anyone on the Smackdown EC will eliminate that many people, considering all except Kozlov is a huge name. 

*** Who will be the first man eliminated from the World Heavyweight Championship match?

My Prediction: Kofi Kingston

My Thoughts: But hey, at least he got into a world title match!

*** Who will be the last man eliminated from the World Heavyweight Championship match?

My Prediction: Chris Jericho

My Thoughts: As the only credible challenger, and heading into a pretty high-profile match at WM25, he's gotta be the last to go.

*** Who will be the first man eliminated from the WWE Championship match?

My Prediction: Big Show

My Thoughts: I don't know who else it could be.  I'd prefer it to be Kozlov, but I don't think WWE's going to throw away all their hard (and worthless, in my opinion, but maybe that's just me) work on building him up/

*** Who will be the last man eliminated from the WWE Championship match?

My Prediction: Edge

My Thoughts: I think Edge will eliminate Hardy and then immediately get taken out by Triple H. 

*** How many titles will change hands at No Way Out?

My Prediction: 1

My Thoughts: Well, there are only 3 titles up for grabs (at least announced).  I think 1 is a safe bet.  And if WWE adds a bonus title match, there could be no major title changes, and then a lesser title changing hands.

*** Which match will be the final match of the PPV?

My Prediction: The WWE Championship Match

My Thoughts: Well, personally I think HBK/JBL is the most deserving of the main event here, but the Smackdown EC match is about 100x more intriguing on paper than the Ra EC match.
