Donald Trump's 15-Man Draft Shake-Up

If you caught Raw tonight, you saw the beginnings of the shake-up of the rosters in WWE.  The full list of changes, from WWE.com, is -

To Raw
Evan Bourne
Jack Swagger
Mark Henry
Alicia Fox
Gail Kim

To Smackdown
Matt Hardy
Finlay
Tyson Kidd
David Hart Smith
Natalya

To ECW
Shelton Benjamin
Goldust
William Regal
Brie Bella
Nikki Bella

I can't say I'm not excited about the changes for Raw.  I do have one problem, though.  If Vince wants to shake things up, why did every superstar who's been with WWE longer win his/her match tonight?  Sure, Big Show and Kofi Kingston went to a double count-out, but that was it.  Every other match (you can check) was won by the senior member of the roster.  If you want to really shake things up, why not put someone new over?

That's not to say I didn't love the show.  It was a really solid show and it's obvious they're trying to pull the ratings in for Raw.  I just wish someone new went over.  Mark Henry, while I loved that he won and I am glad for that decision, has been with WWE for a LONG time.  He definitely deserved the win, but why did MVP lose so easily to a badly-injured HHH?  Evan Bourne got some good offense in, but again, Randy Orton is coming off of a rough PPV win and was obviously in bad shape.  Jack Swagger taking the loss - I can deal with that, since the title wasn't on the line.

And The Miz did get a much better showing tonight.  I hope what they're doing is a series of matches where Miz improves every time until he beats John Cena - though that sounds like a storyline for a babyface.

Wow, though, ECW sure got gutted.  I assumed every show was losing 5 members and gaining 5, but that wasn't the case.

How come Christian didn't get moved?  Didn't they hear the chants for him last night at The Bash when Edge came out?  I'll hope they have plans already in mind for him and just didn't want to start them up just yet.

not to sure what to say to all of this changing superstars thing..i do however wish that orton would quit keeping the title and lose it, after since he stoled it from batista after extreme rules...on getting someone new on the shows, well evan bourne, and jack swagger, and alicia fox have never been on raw, before and your right bout ecw getting gutted and they didn't even get very good new superstars or divas for that matter...i hope they are planning something big for christian as well..but keep him likeable...and they need to quit screwing jeff hardy over he deserves his chance to rise to the top as noone said he ever would and he has though, so quit screwing him over already...i can't believe what punk did at the bash..cena is still the man and always will be, and now we finally get what we have all waited for now for over a yr since cena made his surprise return at royal rumble 2008 greatest comeback in wwe history..is a one on one match between cena and triple h it is finally gonna happen..  6/30/09 12:27 AM

as i said in my blog about sd!http://www.fourdown.org/blog.cfm/3431-user/2009/6/28/SMACKDOWN-ALMOST-LIVE-BLOG
i said benjimn and r truth could have a brilliant rivalry after what happened in there match why build him up a storyline then abandon it??? also with all the times wwe are screwing away ecw

then showing there superstars on raw and smackdown they might as well get rid of ecw and put heat on gain at that time again heat was interesting  6/30/09 1:41 AM

wow, just as i thought ECW was becoming the best hour of wrestling of the week, they totally decimate it. whats the point of moving Finlay as a veteran he was doing a good job of training the young stars, I suppose that job now falls to Regal. Swagger and Bourne could have done with a few more mouths getting over on ECW, but no way are the Hart Foundation ready to move to the big time, there shortcomings will be seen and they will fade into obscurity, but with 6 months or a year on ECW they could have formed a brilliant stable.  6/30/09 3:01 PM

A lot of FCW (Florida Championship Wrestling) talent on ECW tonight. I hope they stay on. It could make for some new and entertaining story lines.  6/30/09 10:54 PM
