What's happening with Jeff Hardy and WWE?

Unless you've been under a rock this week you've heard that Jeff Hardy's contract is coming up very soon and so far Jeff hasn't agreed to sign a new deal.

What the hell is up with this?!  Jeff Hardy has been given so many opportunities after so many screw-ups, and this is how he's going to repay WWE?  I hope all the Hardy fans out there take note of this great example.  You'd think he'd at least feel obligated after everything WWE has done for him (and put up with) to give them at the very least another full year of showing up and not screwing up. 

Enough of the ranting though.. 

What could be next for Jeff Hardy?  I can tell you that if he does bail out on WWE, I'm not going to care.  If he doesn't give a damn about the things WWE has done for him, and for the fans that have allowed him to make a living, then I'm not that interested in following him ever again.  Not that I've ever been a big fan of his, at least not since he was tagging with his brother, but there were definitely some programs I'd have been interested in seeing on Smackdown.  Jericho, Punk, and Undertaker, to be specific.

So since I don't really care to talk about "what could be next for Jeff Hardy"..  what about his brother Matt?

What they should do is turn things around.  Turn Jeff into a heel, and Matt into a babyface.  Matt's never come out and said he did anything to Jeff (outside of what he's actually been shown to have done in the ring), so why not play off of real life and have Jeff say he's the one who had those things done to himself?  He was sick of trying to do things the right way for the company he works for and for the fans, and he was hoping these accidents would end it all for him.  Matt reveals he knew that all along and was trying to put some fire back into Jeff.  Make Matt the caring brother and Jeff the one who doesn't give a damn about anyone but himself - hey, kinda the way it seems to be in real life. 

All I hope is that Jeff will do the right thing and put his brother over hard before he leaves (assuming he does leave).

If he stays, cool, I'll be happy - but won't change all my thoughts above.  He's still dicking around WWE and the fans right now.  Unless this is some crazy work, where WWE and Jeff are working on some storyline twists..  then, maybe I'll change my mind about things!
