Future Feuds: John Cena vs The Undertaker
JOHN CENA vs THE UNDERTAKER
They've had a match or two in the past but never at a big PPV. When should they do this match? What about Survivor Series 2009? It's a big match but not one I'd particularly care to see at a WrestleMania, and Survivor Series has been lacking the last few years. It's definitely a big enough match to sell the PPV on to new fans.
How do you set the match up? Both guys are good guys!
And wait.. isn't John Cena on Raw?
Yes, yes. So there are a few ways to set the match up.
1) The easiest way - both remain good guys, both remain on separate brands, but the GMs of Raw and Smackdown decide to have a Raw vs Smackdown one-on-one match at the Survivor Series. They have done similar brand vs brand matches at Survivor Series before. If you're looking for the top guys on each brand, these are two of them.
2) The not-so-likely way - move John Cena to Smackdown or Undertaker to Raw. I think it's more likely John Cena would go to Smackdown. Then it could either be an actual World Heavyweight Championship match, or a #1 contender's match. Keep both as good guys.
3) TURN JOHN CENA HEEL. Why the hell not? His schtick is worse than Hogan's from the 80s. The irony is that he'd get more support from the fans by turning heel than he does now being a good guy!
No matter how you do this, it's gotta happen one of these days.
And John Cena could do what HBK did going into WrestleMania - he could heel on Undertaker to build to the match. Makes sense - you gotta pull out all the stops to take on THE DEAD MAN.
Anyone have an opinion on how and when this match should take place?

Wrestlemania would be a better place for a "clash of the titans" like that, and if the match is for the title they could also end the deadman's undefeated streak (e.g. 'Taker wins a hellashish match (i spelt that wrong, I know), Edge(MITB winner, I would say) runs in, spear, pinfall. this is not on the point of undertaker vs cena although that would be great. Presuming the legacy last that long, i would like to see Jericho joining the Legacy. I dont think he is second generation but it would make sense as they agreed on alot together when on raw. It could also lead to a Legacy vs DX rivalry and maybe a future ORTON vs JERICHO rivalry. 6/27/09 12:20 AM |

Taker vs. Cena = Waste of time! Cena is incredibly boring and doesn't even belong in the same paragraph as The Undertaker, who is perhaps the greatest entity in WWE history. Now... Taker vs. Y2J = amazing That is a feud I could get behind. Pair Jericho's unparralleled mic and ring skills with The Undertaker's classic gimmick and pressence, and you have a mixture for a feud for the ages. For one i dont like Cena, but quit Thrash talking him. Do YOU have what it takes to be a WWE superstar? Second, Edge sucks, he isnt even MitB material. Third, If you look back at all of Edge's Championship matches, they ALL just about end in Interference. Even at Wrestlemania, which there was NO interference. edge is not a main event wrestler are you kidding he has it all great in ring skills, good on the stick, and his acting is great look at no way out 2009 brilliant. i never said i had wat it takes 2 b in wwe and not many ppl do because its wwe but 4 someone whos talking about trash talking ppl who r in there u just trash talked edge who has contributed more 2 the buisness than alot ppl ever will, all i said about cena was he hasnt had a good story line in 4ever and all he's doing right now is selling tshirts and wrestling in mid card matches against miz. i just think they should change his gimmick 2 heel 4 awhile 7/5/09 12:33 PM |
