Top 10 Worst TNA Bound for Glory Matches
Since I lost to THE CLETUS, I said I would post up a blog of the worst Bound for Glory matches in history. There haven't been THAT many Bound for Glory shows, but I think this list covers the absolute worst there has been.
These aren't in any particular order, these are just matches I remember not caring for at all. I'll try to give my reasons but for a few of them, it's been a long time and I'm just checking the ratings I gave the matches in my notes. I refuse to go back and watch these. :)
Bound for Glory 2005: The Diamonds in the Rough vs Apolo, Sonny Siaki, and Shark Boy
I was never a fan of the "Diamonds in the Rough" and it's easy for me to say the only person I cared about in this match was Shark Boy.
Bound for Glory 2005: Monty Brown vs Lance Hoyt
Match fell apart, Lance Hoyt was never someone I thought had much potential.
Bound for Glory 2006: Eric Young vs Larry Zbyszko
Larry Zbyszko on a PPV in 2006? I thought this guy was a hack when he was a commentator for WCW. "Living Legend"? How come I had zero memories of this guy doing anything important in wrestling?
Bound for Glory 2006: Christian vs Rhino, "8 Mile Street Fight"
Just a stupid match concept. 8 Mile Street Fight. Christian had much better matches in TNA, so has Rhino.
Bound for Glory 2006: Kevin Nash X-Division Gauntlet Battle Royale
When Kevin Nash has anything to do with the X-Division.. you know there's a problem!
Bound for Glory 2007: AJ Styles and Tomko vs Team Pacman
PACMAN! That's all I can say about it.
Bound for Glory 2007: Sheik Abdul Bashir vs Consequences Creed
A match that should have been much better. Had some decent spots but they didn't mesh as well as I'd hoped.
Bound for Glory 2007: 4-Way Monster's Ball Match with Steve McMichael as the guest referee
Steve McMichael looked ridiculously out of place here. Match would have been way better without him.
Bound for Glory 2008: ODB, Rhaka Khan, and Rhino vs Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, and Cute Kip
Rhaka Khan and Cute Kip.. two of the worst people to ever step foot inside the squared circle.
Bound for Glory: Sting puts his career on the line!
- 2006: Sting vs Jarrett
- 2007: Sting vs Angle
- 2008: Sting vs Joe
- 2009: Sting vs Styles
I don't know if his career was on the line in ALL of these, but at least 2 out of 4. It's getting a little silly!

The reason Larry Zbysko, is referred to as the living legend was because Bruno Sammartino used to refer to himself as that, and when the two met at the showdown at the shay, Zbysko started to refer to himself as the new living legend! just a little bit of history!
