Future Feuds: Daniel Bryan vs HHH

I did one of these a long time ago - and actually, I'm going to set up a blog show for it! I thought it would be fun to try to do these regularly but obviously I dropped the ball on it, but maybe I will do one every now and then when I have a chance.

So here's the future feud I think has a ton of potential:

DANIEL BRYAN vs TRIPLE H

This is one of those matches that the internet wrestling community would go nuts for. You've got the internet legend Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson), and the guy the internet loves to hate Triple H. Bryan is considered to be one of the greatest workers, someone who has really paid his dues to get to the big time. (not that all of his fans probably wanted him to make it to WWE, but it's definitely what's best for him) HHH, while I think a lot of people forget his path to the top (which involved lots of dues paying!), is now seen as someone who married into power and is essentially untouchable as a result.

So there's a lot of fun that could be had with this feud.

I almost see this as the modern day Stone Cold vs Mr. McMahon. You've got the hard worker in Bryan facing off against the guy who runs the show, Triple H. Bryan is nothing compared to HHH physique-wise. So you get the little guy vs the big guy in more ways than one.

Then you can take this another step - Bryan is a student of Shawn Michaels. HHH's best friend. So there's your catalyst for a feud right there.

What do we need to get to this feud?

Well, HHH needs to turn heel again. In my opinion, he's better as a heel. For one, he can turn on the intensity on the mic when he wants to, and I think that works much better when he's playing the role of the villain. And even more of a reason, there is a lot of hatred on the internet for HHH. Deserved or not. So people want to boo him. Why not play into that?

So then you have HHH riding roughshod over the Raw roster. He's got to be pushed pretty heavily. (which will of course play into the fans' hatred of him - "he doesn't need this push, he's already at the top" - just making us hate him more)

But you have HHH never attack Bryan. Bryan could be facing off against anyone, and HHH comes out. HHH attacks Bryan's opponent, along with everyone else around, but not Bryan. So now you have some intrigue in the storyline - are Bryan and HHH secretly allied? That's what we the fans would wonder.

Then you have Bryan show on TV that he also has no idea why HHH is not attacking him. He explains to the fans that he has no idea, that he's not in an alliance with HHH. HHH confronts him, and we find out that since Bryan is a student of his friend HBK, HHH thought Bryan would want to join up with HHH. That since he and HBK were such a great team, he thought he and Bryan could be as well. He needs to stay completely heelish in this, where he is acting like it's a no-brainer that Bryan would want to team with him.

But Bryan doesn't answer right away. The fans need to wonder if Bryan will join with HHH. We need some more intrigue!

That's where I'll end my fantasy booking, but the feud could be huge. Not only play up HHH in a Mr. McMahon role - he can constantly foul up Bryan's nights by playing the owner card - but also play up the size difference - HHH facing off with Bryan, I think we all can agree that Bryan will look seriously outmatched. And then of course the opportunity is there to have HBK appear in some fashion (not in a wrestling role of course) to add to this feud.

I think this is a feud that could easily jump the ratings for WWE. What do you guys think?
