I was going to start this next week, but with all the news lately and the fact that I only really promoted my efed and Yahoo Answers during the the announcement blog I decided to start today.
Now unless you have been living under a rock you have heard that TNA has made probably their biggest signing in history.... Hulk Hogan and Eric Bishoff. This can be either good or bad for TNA, on the plus side they have signed a wrestling legend and a great promoter. But on the down side they have signed Hulk Hogan the ultimate self promoter and Eric Bishoff a person who was taking shots at TNA not so long ago.
Hulk Hogan has already had air time on Larry King Live (I think it was that show anyway) and not once did he mention his new employers TNA.... Curious?? I think not, I mean it is Hulk Hogan for god sake!! As I said he is the ultimate self promoter.
Any press coverage TNA could have got from Hulk on that show would have been huge for them. But no, Hulk decided it would be better to promote his new T.V show and his own book! Quite frankly I'm surprised he didn't promote his new wrestling tour over in Australia, Let The Battle Begin.
When I heard that TNA had signed Hulk and Eric I got to thinking, TNA claim that they are a company that develops new up and coming stars and is a welcome change from WWE. Well granted they do develop new stars far better than WWE at the moment but as people are right when they say TNA is the retirement home for WWE!
I mean come on you have:
Matt Moragn (Granted he wasn't in WWE that long and didn't make it as a star, but he was there first)
Booker T (Yes I know he's left but only very recently)
Team 3D
Scott Steiner
Kurt Angle
Sting (WCW but still he may as well be in a retirement home)
Tazz
Bobby Lashley
Christy Hemme
Tara (Victoria)
Dr. Stevie ( Stevie Richards, sorry if I spelt that wrong)
Jethro Holliday ( Trevor Murdoch)
Kevin Nash
Kip James ( I think he had a short run in wwe)
Mick Foley
Rhino
Sharmell
And now.... Hulk Hogan
TNA need to find some more stars of their own. Go scouting small indy promotions and find the best you can but for gods sake stop taking in WWE wash outs! (No disrespect for former wwe stars I'm just trying to make a point)
Thank you for reading and come along next week to see what I have to moan about.
Leave any thoughts, you're welcome to disagree I don't mind. :)

most of tna is their own stars, but if u were in wwe then why wouldn't tna take u. over half the tna roster started in tna. there were also several tna stars that went to wwe. like cm punk, r-truth, and mickie james. 11/1/09 6:09 PM |

Nice start to your new show I agree with you. Though TNA does have a lot of awesome stars like DaChamp was saying. AJ Styles, Christopher Daniels, Samoa Joe, Awesome Kong, James Storm, Robert Roode, Hernandez. Those are all people I would legit buy in top spots in WWE right now. And then to a lesser extent you have Jay Lethal, Alex Shelley, Abyss, Doug Williams, and Suicide. All guys I wouldn't mind seeing in WWE. (some more than others and in the case of Abyss not in a top role, but WWE took a character like Mankind that I hated hated hated and found a way to make him a top star) And Desmond Wolfe we can wait and see on. What TNA needs to be mindful of is not sacrificing their own stars for the sake of new talent from WWE. But you know what. If they do then maybe we'll get to see some of the awesome TNA guys I listed in my first list jumping to WWE. I was thinking lately it's pretty funny but things have changed in a crazy way. I think WWE is actually realizing they need to make new stars. I think this is a very recent thing and I think it had everything to do with the backlash at doing Orton/Cena yet again (even if the match turned out okay). I really think WWE is slowly making the necessary strides and that now is the exact right time for guys to jump to WWE. Because TNA has been doing the opposite, and I'd say faster. It started with Sting, Angle, and Nash, but with those three it wasn't as bad as first thought it might be. Then it was Daivari, Booker T, Mick Foley, then Bobby Lashley and now Hulk Hogan and who knows who he may have secured jobs in TNA for. 11/1/09 7:16 PM |

I think it's crazy that TNA signed Hogan. But they must have some reason for it. Actually if the only thing they plan to use him for is to feud over the Legends title I could be okay with it. That would make perfect sense. Hogan, Nash, Foley, and Steiner are all guys I could see feuding over it. I wouldn't mind Hogan pinning Eric Young with the big leg drop, I hate Eric Young's character. 11/1/09 9:01 PM |

Its not called the legends title anymore its called the global title and can only be defended outside america. And i think it can only be defended against people who rnt from the usa. So the worlds elite, desmonde wolfe and hernandez. 11/2/09 5:10 AM |
