The 176 Show Episode 11 - Plus ECW Beta Week 30/01/10

Welcome to the longest running weekly show here at Fourdown! Today I am going to talk to you guys about the ways I would change WWE and TNA at the current time, give you my final Royal Rumble predictions now that we have the final card, post this weeks ECW beta and talk about the possible changes being made to Smackdown and ECW later this year.


Ok so to start things off I want to give you guys my final Royal Rumble predictions:

The Royal Rumble Match
30 points for correct winner

Please note that ALL active WWE roster members are presented as options to be the winner of the Rumble match. This is because we may not know the full list of participants going into the Rumble and wrestlers involved in other matches on the card can always sneak their way into the Rumble.

Also, there is the choice of "Mystery Wrestler" as the final option. If you think the winner will be anyone not in the list of wrestlers given, make sure to make that your choice. You may choose "No Contest" if you think that there will be a tie at the end of the Rumble and that they will not restart the match to determine a definite winner by the end of the PPV.

If you think there will be a tie between two or more wrestlers, choose the final option "There will be a tie." The list of choices includes ALL active WWE roster members, regardless of whether or not they will take part in the Rumble match. It also includes the option of "Mystery Wrestler", which is the second-to-last choice.

When I choose my predictions I try and cover myself for any wrong answers, so as you may see I have only chosen one champion to lose their title (Mickie to win the womens title) but I have then chosen 2 titles to chanhge hands. This means that if any of the other champions do lose their title I have covered myself and saved a few points. But this technique can also backfire so only go with it if you want to take a risk.
The only prediction I am not sure about is Shawn winning the Rumble match, this is because the original WWE creative plans were for Shawn to face Batista at Elimination Chamber to decide who will face Taker at Mania.



Next up on the 176 Show is this weeks ECW Beta, so here we go:

I accidentally forgot to post the ECW title match when I did the Royal Rumble ppv, so here is the result.
Vladamir Kozlov beat Ezekiel Jackson in 9:42 after Kozlov slams Zeke through an announcers table and Zeke cant answer a ten count and is counted out.

Event 1: A video package is shown of Tommy Dreamers career in WWE and ECW

Event 2: Tiffany comes out to the ring and says that now that we don't have a Number 1 contender for the ECW title we shall have a ECW tournament where the winner shall face Kozlov for the title.

Match 1: Round 1 match
Zack Ryder beats The Ripper in 11:33 after Katie Lea tries to interfere but Zack takes advantage and hits The Ripper with a low blow and a roll up for the win.

Match 2: Round 1 match
Yoshi Tatsu beats Trent Baretta in 6:31

Event 3: Tommy Dreamer is seen backstage talking with all the ECW superstars

Match 3: Round 1 match
Shelton Benjamin beats The Hurricane in 7:43, after the match Trent and Caylon come out to the ring and attack both Hurricane and Shelton and hit them with the ECW Tag Title belts. Yoshi and Goldust then come out and make the save.

Event 4: Kozlov has a backstage interview where he talks about retaining the ECW title and how he plans on beating the winner of the ECW tournamnet.

Match 4: If Tommy loses he leaves WWE/ECW
Christian beats Tommy Dreamer in 11:32, after the match Christian attacks Dreamer as he is walking up the ramp.

Show ends with Christian posing over Dreamer.

Ok I hope you enjoyed that, now that I have done an episode of ECW I would like to speak about the changes being made to Smackdown and ECW later this year:


When WWE decide to carry out the changes to ECW and Smackdown there are a few things I would like to see. Personally I would like to see ECW replaced completely by FCW. Because I watch FCW on Youtube and it is actually better than ECW often is. But then the question arises what happens to the ECW superstars? Well I want to see them be spread out over Smackdown and Raw, unless they are releatively new such as Trent, Caylon and Vance. This could lead to some good new tag teams on Smackdown and raw and an overall entertaining, new, filled with young talent show in replace of the disgrace of an ECW we have now.

Now to deal with Smackdown I really can't see any changes that WWE could make without completely changing the landscape of WWE. I mean you could perhaps change the set-out or theme, but ither than that I personally can't think of anything. SO if you guys can think of anything please tell me on the commenst board.


Next up are my ideas of how I owuld change TNA and WWE:


Well with WWE I can think of quite a few things, first up is that I would completely revive the cruiserweight division and reinstate the Cruiserweight title. This would bring back the excitement and thrills to the matches on Raw and Smackdown.

I would do the same thing for the tag team division, because there used to be a time when WWE had the best Tag Team division around. I would like to see the tag team titles split again and have one set on Raw and one on Smackdown.

As I already said I would like to see FCW replace ECW.

I want Hornswoggle fired, period!

Santino to drop the comedy gimmick and go back to wrestling like he did when he debuted.

Chavo to be given a title run, whether it be US title or Cruisierweight.

Now to move on to TNA:

Go back to the Six Sided Ring
Push the X-Division to its top, because they are amazing, no doubt!
Fire Hogan and Eric
Fire X-Pac, Hall and any old timer that TNA have a hold of.
Focus soley on the young talent such as Beer Money, Hernandez, Matt Morgan, AJ, Kurt(Not young but still draws) and Daniels.
Get rid of the womens tag team titles.
