The 176 Show Episode 16 - Plus ECW Beta Week 5/3/09

HELLO! And welcome to the 176 Show episode 16! Can you believe that? This show has been running for a whole 16 weeks! Wow that time has gone quickly, anyway I suppose if you enjoy what you do then you shouldn't have a singles day work eh?

Well today I have a few good features in store for ya! I am going to give my thoughts on the results of the polls I posted earlier this week and tell you all what I voted for, gove my current Wrestlemania 26 predictions and why I think they will turn out that way, show you the way I see Extreme Rules being booked and as always I shall be posting this weeks WWE ECW Beta, soon to become WWE NXT Beta!

SO let's kick things off with the results from my polls earlier this week:

Errm these results didn't really surprise me, I expected to see at least one person vote for the Miz but oh well life goes on. I personally voted for Kane in this one because I feel he has done the most for the business out of that selection, but the viewers and voters obviously disagree with me.

The next poll was If WCW Never Folded and Sold?

WCW would have folded by itself eventually anyway 42.42%

TNA and ROH would not exist nowadays 15.15%

WWE would have overtaken WCW eventually anyway 15.15%

WCW and WWE would still be competing for the ratings and TNA would be am indy show 15.15%

We would still have WCW and WWE would not be the biggest competitor in the game 12.12%

I think that the voters were right here as it was seen that in the last days of WCW they were in dier need of some help. And even if they hadn't folded right then I still feel it would have been only a matter of time until they did.

Well I did miss out Kofi Kingston so sorry for all those who would have voted for him. Obviously some of these peoplle did make it into the match such as MVP and Matt Hardy. But then there are others such as John Morrison who were completly wasted, I mean Morrison should be earning his ticket to the main event now, not teaming with a midcarder for the Tag Titles.

Next up are my current Wrestlemania 26 predictions, don't forget I am the last representative of Europes Elite Cletus will have to face on his road to Wrestlemania!:

WWE Championship: Batista(c) vs John Cena

My Prediction= John Cena via Submission

Why?= I can't see Batista getting the clean win over Cena at this stage seeing as though he won at SummerSlam and I definately don't see a Mania main event ending in DQ or Count Out.

World Heavyweight Championship: Chris Jericho(c) vs Edge

My Prediction= Edge via Pinfall

Why?= Edge needs to get the win here so that he can carry on the feud with Jericho getting a rematch at Extreme RUles(More on that later).

Bret Hart vs Vince McMahon

My Prediction= Bret Hart via Submission

Why?= I also predict Stone Cold Steve Austin to be the special guest ref for this match. I call Bret to lock in the sharpshooter and Vince to tap. Austin then stunners them both for good measure.

Ted Dibiase/w Dibiase Sr. vs Randy Orton/w Cowbpy Bob Orton vs Cody Rhodes/w Dusty Rhodes

My Prediction= Ted Dibiase or Randy Orton via Pinfall

Why?= Was a tough one to call this one, it could go any way to be honest. But I see either Ted or Randy winning and then letting Cody and Ted go on to be singles competitors.

MITB Match - Christian vs kane vs Shelton Benjamin vs MVP vs Jack Swagger vs Dolph Ziggler vs Matt Hardy vs Kofi Kingston

My Prediction= Christian

Why?= So that he can cash it in on Edge when the time right :)

Unified Tag Team Titles: MizShow(c) vs Morrison and Truth

My Prediction= MizShow via Pinfall

Why?= Because Truth and Morrison aren't a fricken tag team! Get them apart and have Morrison go heel so he can become a top notch main eventer

Career vs Streak - Shawn michaels vs Undertaker

My Prediction= Toughest match to call ever! But I am going with the Undertaker, even though my mates say Shawn.

Why?= Because Shawn had had a great run and what better way to go than to lose to the Undertaker at Wrestlemania?

Sheamus vs HHH

My Prediction= HHH via pinfall

Why?= He just will but they will have a rematch

There may be more matches but I don't know what to put

Next up is my prediction for the way Extreme Rules shall be booked:

World Heavyweight Championship: Edge(c) vs Chris jericho - Ladder Match

WWE Championship: John Cena(c) vs Batista - Last Man Standing Match

Sheamus vs HHH - Street Fight

United States Championship: The Miz(c) vs Daniel Bryan - Lumberjack match(is that a worthy stipulation? i just couldnt think of anything that could get all the rookies and pros involved)

I don't know what to put for the other match, but feel free to give me your ideas on what will go down.

Lastly here is this weeks WWE ECW Beta:

Event 1: Highlight package showing Christian's rise to dominance from putting Dreamer on the shelf to winning the ECW title from Kozlov.

Match 1: ECW Tag Team Titles

Caylon Croft and Trent Baretta vs Goldust and The Hurricane

Result: Caylon Croft and Trent win after Caylon and Trent hit their double team finisher on Goldust while Hurricane is knocked onto the arena floor.

Event 2: Tiffany comes out to the ring and says that right here tonight Christian will find out who he will be defending the ECW title against in the last ECW match ever, which will be at Wrestlemania 26.

Match 2: Winners will recieve an ECW tag title shot on the last episode of ECW before Mania

Yoshi Tatsu and Shelton Benjamin vs Vance Archer and William Regal

Result: Yoshi and Shelton win after Johnny Curtis runs down to the ring and distracts Vance, Yoshi is then able to hit his buzzsaw kick for the win.

Match 3: Singles match

Johnny Curtis vs Ezekiel Jackson

Result: Johnny Curtis gets a quick roll up before Vance Archer is able to make the interference and cost him the match.

Event 3: Christian is out in the ring he says that no matter who he has to face he shall always be the best in ECW! He then tells Tiffany to come out here and tell him who he is facing at Mania.

Tiffany comes out to the ring and says "Christian, you will be facing this man at Wrestlemania!"....

Tommy Dreamer's music hits and out Tommy walks!

Tiffany says she is granting him one last match in ECW and it shall be for CHristians title.

The show goes off air.
