My Armageddon Predictions

My predictions for Armageddon!  I'm a little excited about this line up since it looks like it could be a really good show.  I am definitely ordering this show after not bothering for TNA's Final Resolution.

*** Match for the World Heavyweight Championship
Chris Jericho vs. John Cena (c) 

My Prediction: John Cena, Pinfall, No - no interference

Ideally I'd like to see Jericho win the title back here but I have a hard time imagining WWE giving Cena such a short reign.  I guess all of us picking Cena here are assuming he'll keep the title until WrestleMania.  Which I have a few problems with that I might blog about later.  But I've come to understand the best way to predict WWE is with your gut, not your head or your heart.  (TNA with your ass)

*** Match for the WWE Championship
Triple H vs. Jeff Hardy vs. Edge (c) 

My Prediction: Edge, Pinfall, No - no interference

Same on this one, I don't see Edge's reign getting cut so short.  I think they're working towards a Hardy/Edge one-on-one match, and I don't expect Hardy to get the title anytime soon, so I'm picking Edge.

*** Vladimir Kozlov vs. Matt Hardy

My Prediction: Vladimir Kozlov, Pinfall, No - no interference

Whether or not it's for the title, I don't see Matt Hardy being the one to stop Kozlov.  I predict this one..  will be a stinker.  Kozlov is the worst pick WWE could have made for someone new to push to the top.  Uh, hey geniuses, you would be MAKING MORE MONEY if you had chosen to use John Morrison in a role like this.

*** Batista vs. Randy Orton

My Prediction: Randy Orton, Pinfall, Yes - interference

Why start up a new stable only to get beaten at the first PPV?  So I pick Orton, with interference.  Surely Cody will be the one to help him win, though it might make more sense to let Manu in on that role for the PPV. 

*** Rey Mysterio vs. CM Punk

My Prediction: CM Punk, Pinfall, Yes - interference

Knox will take out Rey Rey, letting Punk get the win.  Since they're building to Knox/Rey (way to miss out on knowing what makes Rey interesting - another feud with a big guy is a sure way to kill his character, great job you idiots), and they hinted at Punk/Regal, this makes the most sense.

*** Belfast Brawl Match,
Mark Henry vs. Finlay

My Prediction: Finlay

Eh, I'm not sure where this is headed, but I'd assume Finlay will pick up the win since it's his match. 

*** Who will take the fall in the WWE Championship match?

My Prediction: Triple H

Since I think they're going to Hardy/Edge singles matches, this makes the most sense.

*** Will either Christian Cage or Tyson Tomko make an appearance at Armageddon?

My Prediction: Neither man will make an appearance

*** Will Stephanie and/or Shane McMahon interfere in any match at the PPV?

My Prediction: No

Not sure where this storyline with Shane and Steph is headed since they didn't push it much at all on the Slammy's show.  At least not in a way that would provide any clues.

*** How many titles will change hands at Armageddon?

My Prediction: None

Could make this a bad PPV for replays if they don't do anything cool, but we'll see.

*** Which match will be the final match of the PPV?

My Prediction: The World Heavyweight Championship Match
