Okay welcome to JMT’s entry in the Fourdown World Championships Round 1. This round it’s me against ItsFRIDAYFRIDAYRebeccaBlack aka Blake. The two of us have a deep history here on Fourdown and have gotten into more then a few arguments mainly around a rivalry in FWF. I respect Blake but in no way am I planning on going down here to him. You hear that Blake I’m gonna beat you.

The topic for our match is to create an announce team out of the WWE contracted announcers for each WWE program. Here is the list of WWE Contracted announcers.

Booker T
Jack Korpela
Jerry "The King" Lawler
Josh Mathews
Matt Striker
Michael Cole
Scott Stanford
William Regal
Jim Ross
Its unknown as to whether JR is still contracted as an announcer but I will Include him as one since he is still under WWE contract.

Okay so now that we have the list we can start with the show lists.

WWE Raw
WWE NXT
WWE Smackdown
WWE Superstars

Well that’s a lot of shows to spread the commentators around with. So let’s get started with the Flagship show WWE Raw.

WWE Raw is the show WWE built it’s legend on. This show has been going on for almost 1000 episodes. This is what I would consider the ideal Commentator team for Raw.

First up Raw is not Raw without the “Voice of Monday Nights” Jim Ross. The man is a legend in the business and really good at his job. So he’s my pick for the Play-By-Play guy on the team.
Up next every great PBP guy needs a good Color Commentator. Preferably, it is someone that used to be a former wrestler. Vince McMahon had Jesse “The Body” Ventura, Jim Ross had Jerry “The King” Lawler and on my team Jim Ross would have King William Regal. The man is a brilliant commentator, very smart and knows what he is talking about. He’s very adept with the microphone and most people love him even when he was trying to make you hate him.
The final man on the 3 man team for Raw is Josh Matthews. This guy has come a long way from being the backstage interviewer, being in the middle of goofy segments for wwe.com, and has developed into quite the nice announcer on Smackdown. I think I would enjoy a three man team of William Regal, Josh Matthews, and Jim Ross on Monday nights.

The next show I will create a Announce team for is NXT.
I choose Michael Cole and Booker T because no one cares about NXT anyways and I wouldn’t have to hear them argue and chatter along aimlessly not doing their jobs.

The Next show is WWE Superstars. Appearently this show is like a Zombie it just won’t die. WWE keeps pulling the plug only to give it another life.
I’m choosing to Pair up Jerry “The King” Lawler and Jack Korpela for this show. Jack seems like a knowledgable guy and pretty easy to listen too. However I don’t see him getting beyond the C level shows anytime soon. Jerry Lawler is legend as well but I think the business of Announcing has passed the man by. So I place him on this show to prove he still has what takes to be on the 2 big shows.

And for the Final Show WWE Smackdown, I pick a two man team. Matt Striker is a brilliant man and a good color commentator. He deserves to be given a second chance on Smackdown. And the final man is Scott Stanford, he’s a darn good PBP guy and one of the guys I’d like to see step up and take one of the big shows by the reigns and become a outstanding PBP guy if given the chance.

And this is how I would contract the announcing talent for WWE.
