Fourdown Non-Fantasy Championship: No Way Out Review

Hello Everybody,

Kaihtafc here and today Im here to breakdown No Way Out. Now that weve had time to digest what happened lets take a deeper look at what went down.

Brodus Clay d. David Otunga

I didn’t get to catch this match live but I checked it out later on in the day. I liked how Otunga walked out as it was something noone has done before so although loosing he didn’t look too weak. This is the kind of match I would expect to see on a preview show, not that I personally agree with it, if it was up to me Id have put a fast paced lightweight match here cos the matches with the big highflying spots are the ones that would draw me in to buy a ppv at the last minute not squash match.

Sheamus d. Dolph Ziggler

Im here to show the world… Im here to show the world… That I am ready to MAIN EVENT!

This match to me stole the show. Dolph and Ziggler have got some great chemistry in that ring and Id love to see this turn into a full blown feud that leads to Ziggles taking the title at Summerslam. There was one botch in this match but they made up for it because the match was just so damn good. Sheamus has been unlucky in his title reign so far, he could have been a massive babyface right now but he got caught up in the Bryan/Yes chant fiasco and since then he’s struggled, hopefully by putting over the new internet darling in the near future would help him gain back some fans. Im glad he retained here though, Dolph needs another month or two chasing before he is champion.

Santino Marrella d. Ricardo Rodrigeuiz

Now heres the thing, I got no problem with comedy relief matches, the problem I have is that Santino is carrying the US championship. Unless this leads to Alberto Del Rio training Ricardo to wrestle (as we all know he can) and taking the US title from Santino I say take the title off Santino and leave him for comedy relief without the belt. Hell there’s so many new talent facing jobber cos they’ve nothing else to do, let them fight over the US championship.

Christian d. Cody Rhodes

Another great match, I think Christian really brought out the best in Rhodes, showing his veteran colours. I really liked Rhodes’ tribute to Hardcore Holly his first tag team partner. The ending was very fast paced and I liked it. Not much else to say about this match except I hope this feud lasts long. There’s no need to rush Rhodes into the main event, there’s plenty of time for him to get there, another Intercontinental Title run isn’t the best thing for him but after this feud he should move up.

Prime Time Players win Tornado Tag Team Match.

Finally the Tag Team division is getting some life! Very athletic match with the spot of the night with the superplex from the top rope. Now all they need to do is flip Epico and Primo face (and c’mon its hard to boo Rosa) and we have a real tag team feud.

Layla d. Beth Phoniex

Not gunna even review this match. I’m always trying to see the best in the Diva’s but this was plain bad. I try defend the Diva’s by saying its Creative’s fault for not giving them enough time yet with the time they get given they give us this garbage. DUD.

Sin Cara d. Hunico

Always been a Sin Cara fan and always saw potential in both these men but if WWE isn’t going to give either a feud it’s no good just going back to this match when there low on talent. Decent match but Id have liked to have seen a bit more high flying due to who was involved

CM Punk d. Kane and Daniel Bryan

The best decision even though I thought Bryan would win. I’m now under the assumption that if Punk beats Bryan at MITB he will hold onto the title till he beats the record of longest title reign this Century. I think the ending was good, I wasn’t impressed with it until I saw AJ smirking at Punk at the end and I realized she’d done it for him. What can I say about the wrestling? Perfection. If it’s true Vince put Kane in this feud to piss off the IWC by making the wrestling worse, just like the Funkasaurus he made a massive mistake!

Ryback d. Jobbers

Now unlike most people I am a massive fan of these squash matches, to me it never gets old. I love it every time! It is time to move on to bigger things though, I say Tensai!

John Cena d. Big Show

Just what a cage match was made to be, two giant men battling blow for blow in an all out war of survival! This match had glimpses of Hogan vs. Bundy. Not the most technical of battles but it did its job in a good match, also the interference at the end made Show look strong, I loved how Kofi got over to the top and kicked Show off. Seeing Brodus in the main event was promising as I think he has a bright future and I think in 10 years time well be talking bout him like we do the Big Show, the best polarizing big guy in WWE, heel or face. I think it was the right idea to fire Johnny Ace, I think he’ll still be around on TV just in a different capacity. A new GM to be announced on RAW 1000 would be good, I think Edge would be a good pick if they’ve sorted out his contract! Let me know who you guys think! Overall it wasn’t the best WWE show ever but it served its purpose.
