kofi kingston getting a push?

at survivor series Kofi Kingston helped prevent Randy Orton from retaining the WWE championship, but he was pinned in the tag match.
on raw though, he defeated chris jericho which by memory is twice now (ric flair interupted their last match putting kofi through to the MITB ladder match) and after being attacked by Randy Orton, went on to ruin Randy's new car.
WWE havent pushed anyone on a raw in a long time and i think it would be great if kofi got the push. he has great arial ability, a finisher he can hit from out of nowhere and has had a long title run. he just needs work on his mic skills now.
personally i think that WWE should give him the push and it would be ideal to give him that push with a win against randy orton perhaps at survivor series. lets hope wwe dont stuff this one up.

definetly looks like he's getting a push. i'm a little on the fence about it. i just started watching wrestling again earlier this year after a 5 year break, so i dont know kofi all that well. i was glad to see him drop that fake jamacian accent. just going by what i saw last night i would have to say i was impressed. i'll be watching to see how this plays out. 10/27/09 2:42 PM |

It looks like he is getting at least a decent push, but if he's booked for a match against Orton at Survivor Series, then it could be a big indication that he's getting a big push to about upper-mid card caliber, since I don't think he's main event type yet. 10/27/09 5:28 PM |

Kofi would definitely benefit from compeating against Orton even if he come out on the losing end his skills as a proformer would win I was happy to hear him talking more and he really seemed to enjoy trashing that car 10/27/09 8:54 PM |

I think Kingston is a small part of a bigger plot. Bear with me here. Kofi is there to keep Orton occupied and relevant, but this is only gonna last until the next PPV when Orton dismantles and destroys him. Meanwhile, Cena and HHH reignite their rivalry as a result of Survivor Series. Cena loses the title at the next PPV to HHH (since Orton v Cena is over). Next on the agenda is a revisiting of the HHH / Orton feud, which eventually RKO will lose. He'll then somehow find himself on Smackdown where, by this time, Batista should be World champ. And I could go on forever speculating on the future of RKO, but in the grand scheme Kofi is just something to keep Orton in the spotlight until title contention opportunity comes up again... 10/28/09 1:54 AM |

I think it is strange to have Kofi starting a rivalry with Orton at this time because DiBiase was just starting to feud with him. Ted's movie is coming to DVD in 2 months so you know he's gonna get a push and I had assumed it would be with Orton now that he's out of the title picture. kofi's original ring name when he first started was Kofi Johnson. He changed it to Kingston one week after his arrival in ECW. Besides that it shows how much Jimmie Johnson is int he mind of all the drivers inside and outside of NASCAR due to his dominance of the sport. I love Kofi and I think he is next years MITB winner.
