WrestleMania 25 Predictions
So, here I am, two hours before start-time for WrestleMania and cranking out my predictions for the show. Over the past few weeks, my opinion has gone one way to another due to the either half-assed writing or the overkill promotion being done. But here are my final opinions and predictions for the show and how it will turn out:
Rey Mysterio vs JBL
Intercontinental Championship Match
My opinions for this match could fill a warehouse, as the IC belt has been criminally treated the past few weeks. The promotion for this match has been ever worse with WWE attempting to cause drama between the two, and even though these guys already have a rich history together, that seemed to be disreguarded and just dragged out. I expect this match to be a little better than the heat-killer they had on "RAW," with JBL (hopefully) putting up more of an effort and Rey whipping out some of his more old-school moves. In the end, I completely expect Rey to walk away with the win and, hopefully, give the IC belt much needed respect. I have zero clue as to what JBL's "history making" action will be, if he is even planning on it anymore (since it seems to have degenerated from "holy crap this will be amazing" mode to "if I win, that will be history making"). Frankly, while I am glad to see the Intercontinental Championship defended at WrestleMania once again, I'm most interested in what Rey has concocted to wear tonight. Maybe he'll dress like Rorschach from "Watchmen"? Just as long as he stays far, far away from silver bodypaint.
