Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff Join TNA Wrestling - Hulkamania Hits TNA!

1084 Views

If you haven't heard already, Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff have signed on to become a part of TNA Wrestling!

Quite the interesting story!  I assume his Australian tour is still happening, though perhaps now TNA talents will be joining him there.

This could either be GREAT for TNA - or really bad.

My personal opinion is that Hogan is pretty much broken down at this point - he needs money, he knows his reputation is pretty sour at the moment - so I would bet that if anything he is going to do whatever he can to help TNA and their talents and be a real asset to the company.

Now here's the scenario I am curious about:

Ric Flair is signed on to the Australian Hulkamania Tour.  With Hogan and Bischoff involved with TNA now, could we see Sting join up with that tour?  A three-way with Hogan, Flair, and Sting, while over 10 years too late for it be something us die-hards would froth over, is still an unbelievably huge match.

So what role can Hogan take with TNA?  Although I am not highly interested in seeing Hogan wrestle, there is that little group called The Main Event Mafia.  And if you ask anyone on the street who they think would be leading a group called The Main Event Mafia in wrestling - well, I bet you a majority of them would name one person - Hulk Hogan.

And Bischoff, while I know a lot of people don't care for him too much, is someone who I think has the brains to do more big things in wrestling.  He's older and wiser than he was when he had Ted Turner's checkbook and you can't really blame him for going overboard when he was suddenly overflowing with money and power - so now, can Bischoff use his knowledge to make TNA a REAL competitor for WWE?

And lastly, we all know who's leading up TNA's creative - Vince Russo.  What is going to happen when the most overhyped loud-mouth shoddy booker meets the man who almost defeated Vince McMahon and the man with the pythons?  I don't know, Russo - whatcha gonna do?

# cletus42o I'm excited to see what it means, I'm going to be optimistic about it. :)  10/27/09 3:23 PM
# treeguy First I have heard of it. I'm not real interested in seeing Hulk wrestle at all, but I do see them bringing something to the company. Between the two of them there's a lot of experience and knowledge to offer the young stars.  10/27/09 3:53 PM
# daver1128 I hope hogan doesnt wrestle. Hopefully he will just be there for promos. Eric can make this company huge.  10/27/09 4:41 PM
# Final Verdict Best TNA news ever. This is going to bring in more fans and give the younger guys a chance to shine while all these older fans are checking out to see what the Hulkster is up to.  10/27/09 4:51 PM
# chaosnorder What's WWE's loss is TNA's gain...again. I hope this leads to another "Monday Night War" battle, because it'll only lead to much better wrestling.  10/27/09 5:27 PM
# wgbh1974 interested to see were this goes but god I hope no young talent starts to imitates him like Jay lethal does Savage thats just wrong funny but wrong. Bischoff could do some great things with the company if they'll let him  10/27/09 9:05 PM
# deuceloosely I've always blamed Russo for being the catalyst for WCW's eventual demise. He might be what is keeping TNA from breaking big, and Bischoff could be the guy who keeps him in check and brings some truly compelling story arcs. Eric already has an awesome roster to work with, but once he takes control all it's gonna take is the next big surprise acquisition from WWE (on the level of a Kurt Angle) and it's game on again, Vinnie Mac...  10/28/09 1:41 AM
# rhombus Unless they can get the Hendrix music for Hogan, I'm honest in saying I won't be interested in seeing him. There's something about Hogan coming out to Voodoo Chile that makes me pop.  10/28/09 1:42 PM
# thuggito This will be the beginning of the end for TNA. Forget about Sting's farwell tour also. All the reasons WCW fell are now in TNA: Hogan, Bishoff, Farrera, Russo. Can't we all learn from mistakes.  10/31/09 1:34 PM
# RiotTime that's a fair point thuggito, but hopefully they've all wised up and can up the game at TNA to bring us the production that we know they're capable of but have been sadly lacking.  11/1/09 7:10 AM
# jeremywhite18 OH Yeah, another n.W.o. reunion to takeover te best thing going today.  11/4/09 12:16 PM

WWEsAngel_Nef (Tenechia Haynes) @fourdown The crowd was already popping HARD for Orton during the breaks. It was crazy RKO chants all night.
fourdown (fourdown.org) Season rankings are all done now.
fourdown (fourdown.org) If Shawn Michaels faces Undertaker at WM26, it will be HBK's first PPV singles match since facing Undertaker at WM25. Most likely.
fourdown (fourdown.org) Rankings for the Rumble are complete! Now I'm scoring all the free-floating Rumble questions, then season ranks will be run.
apsouthern (Andrew Southern) @fourdown no problem
fourdown (fourdown.org) @apsouthern I doubt there's any reason I'd need to use the backup. If I need to, I'll make a backup of the scores you entered first. Thanks!
apsouthern (Andrew Southern) @fourdown Just put RR scores in for 4-UP - do you need me to do them again if you're running a back-up?
fourdown (fourdown.org) Getting ready to run the results for the Royal Rumble now. Making a quick backup of the database first. :)
fourdown (fourdown.org) @sagefreehaven LOL
fourdown (fourdown.org) @WWEsAngel_Nef I would love to see Orton set up the RKO with a kick to the gut. The crowd would go crazy,
fourdown (fourdown.org) Orton seems more over in this match than he ever was during his first world title reign.
apsouthern (Andrew Southern) @fourdown Yeah I noticed you'd run them, never mind - I'm trying to keep track of the Rumble as well
fourdown (fourdown.org) @apsouthern I already ran the scores for last week. I want to say I gave McCool points for being in a match, but none for winning.
