Matt Hardy Winning Money in the Bank

Right now it seems like most people are calling Christian to win Money in the Bank. He's definitely the most decorated wrestler out of all the others in the match (at least so far - one more to go, tonight I'd think!). A lot of people want to see either a Christian/Edge pairing or feud.

But with an upcoming Money in the Bank PPV, and a lot of people speculating about a cash-in at SummerSlam, I wouldn't be surprised to see the winner this year cash it in and NOT win the championship.

I think Christian would be perfect for cashing in at SummerSlam against Edge. So with that in mind, I figure Matt Hardy is a pretty good choice to win. And here are my reasons -

Matt Hardy, no matter how he gets used, has a pretty big portion of the audience behind him. I wouldn't quite put him at Rob Van Dam's or Jeff Hardy's levels, but he's a lot of steps ahead of any other midcarder in WWE.
His brother Jeff is getting used on TNA Impact. If Hardy fans want to see if Matt will catch up to his brother and win a world championship, they'd have to tune in to Raw to see it. (well, I think that'd mean Matt would have to move to Raw, but the draft is coming and the MITB winner can go for either title so I think they can jump around)
Since being the first MITB winner to lose his match will be a pretty devastating blow, they can have a heel cost him the match somehow and it will generate: tons of heat for the heel, tons of sympathy for Matt, and keeps Matt open for another title shot down the line. It could be the thing to bring Matt to the next level.

And here's an idea.. have Christian be the one to cost Matt the match when he cashes in. Christian was favored to win MITB and he's bitter about losing. Sets up a Matt/Christian program that would culminate with a second MITB event being declared - and that's your basis for having a MITB themed PPV.

Christian wins Money in the Bank, now as a heel, and you know what's next.. Edge.

So it could bring both Matt AND Christian to that next level.

# daver1128	For years now people have been saying that Shelton Benjamin has not got any opportunities at the top. Do you think that the WWE doesnt hear you all. Its perfectly set up for Shelton to win this year. Everyone wanted a new champion and we got Sheamus. Then everyone complained Shelton didnt get the step up. Well this year its set for him to win. # steinersaysuhhh	I expect Kofi to be the final entrant, though honestly, I wouldn't mind seeing Mark Henry get the spot. He really should be on the card. I kinda think they should've made it ShoMiz vs Morrison/Truth vs MVP/Mark Henry, with Kofi and Santino in MITB. Santino? Yeah, I think one or two comedy spots in the match are a great way to spice up a long match. Do them right after huge spots off the ladder, when other guys need to recover. # daver1128	I wouldnt be surprised if they did they before wrestle mania match on the computer with a battle royal and the winner getting the 10th spot in the mitb match. if that happends kofi will win and win the bank however if that doesnt happen. # FlyingMullet	It wouldn't surprise if this is the year that the MITB is cashed in at the end of one of the title matches at Wrestlemania on the night. Edge could beat Jericho for the belt, but severely reinjure his tendon in the process. There you would have a vulnerable champion ripe for the picking. Only question left would be who swoops in for the take. Christian for a twist? Hardy for overdue revenge on Edge? Opens up a multitude of options there. 3/21/10 5:25 AM
