Fantasy Sports Entertainment Game Planned!

The next major update I have planned for the site will be the unveiling of a fantasy sports entertainment game! It will also be completely free to play! Seasons for the game will be the same as for the prediction games, though the first season will likely be short as I plan to launch it before season 3 has ended.

When it launches, there will be two new rankings categories. Right now, it's Overall, WWE, and TNA - but once the game launches, I will be adding "Fantasy" and "WWE+Fantasy". The game will likely only cover WWE - unless I hear any sort of strong response that people would like both companies covered.

And your leagues will be ranked, just the same as all the prediction games already at the site! The top 15 scorers for a league each week will have their scores added to the league total for the season.

I'd love to hear input from players here about what they'd like to see in this fantasy game.

I think it will add a whole lot more to the site, since the game progresses every week.

Here's some of the initial ideas I have:

- You purchase yourself a roster of superstars that can be a mix of stars from any of the three rosters. Purchasing a superstar will NOT prevent other users from purchasing that person - players can end up with the same roster. However, gameplay will vary beyond your roster selection, so having the same roster will not ensure the same final score.

- Points will be earned based on a large list of conditions. Appearing on a televised event will be worth a certain amount of points. Being in a match will be worth an additional amount of points on top of the appearance. Winning that match will add more points. Additional points can be earned from: if that win was a title defense, if that win earned the wrestler a title, if it was a world title, if the match was a gimmick match, etc. If the wrestler loses his or her match, an amount of points will be deducted from the final score for the match.

- Every week, you can choose to take a risk by selecting a few conditions ahead of time for a superstar on your roster. If those conditions are met, you will earn additional points - however, if any of the conditions are not met, you will not earn any points for that superstar for the entire week. Not all conditions will be eligible choices to take a risk on - for instance, "Will make a televised appearance" would not be a valid choice. And when you make these choices, it will not be for the following week - it will be two weeks in advance.

- The price you purchase superstars for at the beginning of each season will not be a locked-in price for that superstar for the season. The value of each superstar will be based on how well they are doing. There will be five divisions of wresters: tag team, women, undercard (has never had a match on PPV), midcard (has had either an intercontinental or US title shot), and uppercard (has had any world title shot). Each will have a base value to be determined. On top of their base value, there will be other factors: the amount of title reigns (any title, each will have a unique value associated) through his or her career, amount of PPV matches in the past 6 months, and finally, the PPV win/loss record for the past 6 months. (losses will deduct from the amount earned for that PPV appearance, while a win will add to it)

- You will be able to sell your superstars back to the system at specified times, so if you think your wrestler is starting a losing streak, might be a good time to get dropped from your roster. Of course, a wrestler who loses is still worth more than a wrestler who isn't booked at shows consistently. More than likely the specified times when you can sell will be every two weeks.

- When you sell a superstar, you will lose a small percentage of the points that you earned from that wrestler being on your roster. It will be a very low percentage, but enough so that selling a wrestler won't always be an easy decision. If the wrestler is injured and reported to be out of action for any amount of time, however, that penalty will not apply.

I would like to launch it during season 3 and have some people help test the system out to make sure the system is fairly balanced.
