I don't know if we've ever asked questions about these two titles before this way, but with the draft, it seems a great time to ask them now that the titles have swapped brands!
Below are the current standings for these two prediction questions -
Prediction Questions from http://www.fourdown.org
(WWE) Who will be the next Intercontinental Champion?
This question ends on 05/08/2009
-- 10 points for correct answer
-- 4-Down Note: "The Intercontinental Champion at the time of this question is Rey Mysterio."
Overall Percentages:
Anyone else : 37.33%
John Morrison : 36.00%
Chris Jericho : 9.33%
Dolph Ziggler : 8.00%
CM Punk : 5.33%
Umaga : 4.00%
Charlie Haas : 0.00%
cletus42o's Thoughts: What, did I do a bad job coming up with the choices? The IC title is on Smackdown, and these guys seem like they'd be in the running (Jericho and Haas are the biggest stretches in my opinion, on opposite ends).. The only other likely possibility is R-Truth, but having him take the title from Rey would mean R-Truth would have to turn heel.. I think it's more likely we'll see Rey and R-Truth teaming up together. I'm pulling for Morrison to get it, I think giving him a strong run with the belt would help set him up for an eventual chance to move up the card. (and if Jeff Hardy ends up leaving, I could see them thrusting Morrison right to the top on Smackdown - and I think over time WWE would end out ahead)
(WWE) Who will be the next United States Champion?
This question ends on 05/08/2009
-- 10 points for correct answer
-- 4-Down Note: "The United States Champion at the time of this question is MVP."
Overall Percentages:
Anyone else : 26.76%
The Miz : 25.35%
Matt Hardy : 22.54%
Kofi Kingston : 11.27%
Mr. Kennedy : 9.86%
The Brian Kendrick : 2.82%
Chavo Guerrero : 1.41%
cletus42o's Thoughts: I'm guessing people are just going with "Anyone else" because the odds might be a little higher. But I'm even more confident in the line-up I put up for the US title - I think these options are the most likely opponents for MVP over the next few months. Interesting to note that Miz & Morrison are pretty much taking the lead as the next guys to hold the secondary singles titles on each brand. If only they hadn't had Miz turn on Morrison, we could have gotten some really fun stuff from the two of them interacting on PPV (since hopefully they'll go back to honoring the brand split soon) if both were holding a singles title.
There are a lot of other open questions on the site right now. I'm going to try and keep at least a few open questions at all times from now on. I'd really like for some storyline questions to present themselves - they still haven't definitively cleared up who attacked Jeff Hardy. And the only other "question" I feel like WWE has given the audience lately was Undertaker's challenger at WM, and that one wasn't very difficult to figure out.
The other open questions are:
- 3 Money in the Bank questions
- 3 SummerSlam questions, asking you who will hold the three primary titles at the end of that PPV
- And a fun one: who'll be the next superstar from TNA to jump to WWE?
That last one is a little different than most questions I put up.. mainly because it may never be answered. I put 10 wrestlers as options, and you're meant to pick the first of that group to debut for WWE. If none of the 10 ever jump to WWE, the question will never get answered. But it's worth 25 points (I may up that point total to 40 points, actually.. needs to be a lot!) so it'll be a big boost in whatever season it gets answered.
There are also similar questions up for TNA, but I'll mention them in my next TNA-specific post.
Also, a couple of new features launched on the site in the past few days. Check the related blog below to see what they are.
