WWE Backlash - Live Scoring Coverage

Going to run a live blog tonight with the results from Backlash as they happen, along with how the scoring on the prediction game will go due to the results.

If you haven't predicted yet, you've only got 10 minutes - http://www.fourdown.org/WWE_Backlash_2009 - so hurry up and get your picks in!

Pre-show ending now, show's about to start..

Going to keep updates on the Cletus Challenge - Cletus vs Freehaven - as the show goes on, too.

Kicking things off with the ECW Championship match, Christian vs Jack Swagger (c).

Cletus: Christian, by pinfall, no interference
Freehaven: Christian, by pinfall, no interference

Result: Christian, by pinfall, no interference

That's one title change so far, also. Go Christian!

Cletus: 21 points
Freehaven: 21 points

Up next, Chris Jericho vs Ricky Steamboat.

Cletus: Ricky Steamboat, by pinfall, no interference
Freehaven: Chris Jericho, by submission, no interference

Result: Chris Jericho, by submission, no interference

Cletus: 23 points
Freehaven: 42 points

Doh!

On to the match of the night, CM Punk vs Kane.

Cletus: Kane, by pinfall, yes interference
Freehaven: CM Punk, by pinfall, no interference

Not liking my chances on this one. :)

Result: Kane, by pinfall, no interference

Cletus: 42 points
Freehaven: 46 points

Took a little break from the computer, we're in the middle of Matt Hardy vs Jeff Hardy, "I Quit" match.

Cletus: Matt Hardy, no interference
Freehaven: Jeff Hardy, no interference

Result: Jeff Hardy, no interference

Cletus: 44 points
Freehaven: 63 points

Looks like it's time for the Khali Kiss Cam. Wooo.

Who's he gonna kiss?

Cletus: Santina Marella
Freehaven: Khali will sadly not get a kiss

Result: Khali will sadly not get a kiss

Cletus: 44 points
Freehaven: 73 points

Man, I really thought I was going to close the gap with that one. Still lots of points left, though! Come on!

Time for the WWE Championship match, it's Randy Orton & Legacy vs Shane McMahon, Batista, and Triple H (c).

Cletus: Orton & Legacy, by pinfall, no interference
Cletus: Legal Man of Winning Team = Randy Orton
Cletus: Legal Man of Losing Team = Shane McMahon
Cletus: Will Batista attack teammate? No
Freehaven: Triple H & Co., by pinfall, no interference
Freehaven: Legal Man of Winning Team = Triple H
Freehaven: Legal Man of Losing Team = Randy Orton
Freehaven: Will Batista attack teammate? Yes

That's a lot of freakin' points.

Result: Orton & Legacy, by pinfall, no interference
Legal Man of Winning Team = Randy Orton
Legal Man of Losing Team = Triple H
Will Batista attack teammate? No

Cletus: 86 points
Freehaven: 78 points

THIS COULD CONCEIVABLY DESTROY THE MCMAHON FAMILY

So we're down to the main event.. Edge vs John Cena (c), Last Man Standing match.

Cletus: John Cena, no interference
Freehaven: Edge, no interference

And both Freehaven and I picked no on Money in the Bank getting cashed in and 2 title changes.. so it's all down to picking the winner of this match. It's worth 20 points so whoever gets it right is winning! This was a good challenge - it's essentially tied going into the main event!

Result: Edge, yes interference

And the show ends with THREE title changes - yes, all 3 world titles changed hands tonight. Money in the Bank was not cashed in. But there's always Judgment Day!

Cletus: 91 points
Freehaven: 103 points

Think I got the points all correct. Either way, I'm sure Freehaven ended up pulling it out that Edge victory. Congrats Freehaven, it was close but you got me good! Send me the image whenever you've got it, and I'll keep it up for 7 days after I get it live on the site. :)

And thanks to everyone who played along! See you next month with whatever PPVs are up next!
