4-UP Fantasy Sports Entertainment / Wrestling Game is Now Open!
Just flipped the switch a few minutes ago. Everyone now has access to the game.
Haven't had time to build a help page for the game yet, but here's all you need to know -
- You pick a roster of wrestlers for each game week. (the first game week is May 17th - 23rd, since this is the first game week you have more than one week to lock your roster in)
- If you forget to lock in a new roster for any week of the game, the game will automatically re-use the previous week's roster. This may not be ideal for you, because of some information that I'll mention next, but at least you won't have to worry about not having a chance to earn points.
- Picking the same wrestlers every week may not be a good strategy. (up to you to decide) After picking a wrestler 5 times, you'll start losing 5% of the points that wrestler earns each week. After 10 times, 25%. And after 20 times, 50%. That last one may chang to 15 times, too, since I didn't check for sure on how many weeks are in a typical season here.
- You can also earn bonus points that add to each wrestler's score. If a wrestler you chose was chosen by less than 15% of all players, you'll earn 50% more points from that wrestler.
- And lastly, you can earn either 5 or 15 extra points if the wrestler you chose was voted #1 or #2 in the top 5 voting here at the site, for their category. (this DOES NOT apply to main eventers, only to the other categories) 5 points for #2, 15 points for #1.
You'll be able to see how the scoring works more clearly once the first week is scored. Just keep in mind you want to pick wrestlers who you think will be on Raw, ECW, Smackdown, or PPV, and preferably the ones who'll win matches!

Also, that spot under the main site window, above the Twitter feed, is going to get done soon. It'll have your rank for prediction games and for the fantasy game, and prob your league ranks. I see a couple of people noticed, today it had started letting you pick a roster for May 24th. That was a mistake - it shouldn't let you pick two rosters at once UNLESS Smackdown is taped twice at once. But the changes to the code that let me have it let you pick a roster so far in advance (it was really only built for you to pick one week ahead of time, but for launch I wanted to give more time) ended screwing it up a bit. I fixed it. Anyone (about 10 of you) who picked for May 24th, whatever you picked is saved and you'll be able to edit it next week if you want.
