Run a wrestling forum or site, or are you thinking about it?

There are a lot of resources for you to use on your own site or forum that you can get right here!  And I want you to use them!

I think it's a lot of good content that can start up some good discussions right on your own site!  Yeah, I have a blog here, and lots of ways for players to contribute in discussions here, but if you have a league here, I want you to take my data and post it on your site or forum!  It doesn't matter to me if you link back here when you post any of the data I make accessible.

There are a few big features here that you can use to try and stimulate some conversation on your forums and maybe even bring some new members to your site.  I'm not selling anything, but I sure feel like I am! 

So if you're starting a new site, you'll want to get a league created here.  This provides a group for your members to join here, so all the data you share can be specific to just your members.  It also gives you access to enter your website URL and your RSS feed (if you have one) that will be available all over this site - instantly getting you a link to your site from here.

Once you have a league, you can get started!

First up, the PPV prediction games.  We run games for every PPV run by WWE and TNA.  Sure, your users will have to sign up here, join your league, and make their picks here on this site - but when they're done, they can use our built-in features that automatically generate HTML, BBCode, or plain-text formats of the picks they just made, to post on your site.  If you, as the forum admin, kick off a PPV prediction thread - you can start it off by just grabbing the matches and questions we've set up the same way your players will grab their predictions, and post that as a new thread.  Then, when you or any of your members participate in the prediction game, the picks entered can be copy/pasted right to your forum as a reply to that thread!  So not only can your members share their own picks for each PPV, in about the easiest way imaginable (it's a lot easier than typing it all out from scratch!), but they can critique each others' picks. 

And on that note, and this applies to both PPV prediction games and the fantasy wrestling game, as a league your members can compete against each other, but together as a whole you are also competing with all the other leagues here on the site - most of which represent a totally different wrestling community!

So critiquing each others' picks can be either just for fun or to try and get other members to make picks that hopefully would help your league move up in the rankings.  Getting high in the rankings might persuade a player here to want to join your league - and as a result, hopefully become a regular visitor to your site and/or forums!

That's easily two new threads you can start on your forums. Whether or not your members want to play along and post their picks as replies, well, I leave that up to you. :)

And then, after the PPV has happened, everyone is ranked - both on this site as a whole and within your league only. So then, using similar tools provided here, you can get the rankings in HTML, BBCode, or plain-text format, and post them either back to your predictions thread or as a new thread. Your members only have to come here to make their picks - if you come here yourself and get the results to post on your own site/forums, there's no reason they'll have to come back here until it's time to predict the next PPV!

Who doesn't like to predict PPVs? Yeah, a lot of forums run their own prediction games, but if you start a league here, the only work you have to do is copy/paste the information! Not only does it keep you from having to track the results yourself, but it puts your league in the ranks with some of the best wrestling communities on the web! If you can topple any of them, that's like, instant e-cred!

But wait, there's more! (did I mention I feel like I'm selling something?) We recently started a fantasy wrestling game. Instead of making specific predictions, players pick a roster of wrestlers each week comprised of the wrestlers they think will perform the best in the following week. Just like the PPV prediction games, you can get the rankings within your league and the rankings of the leagues themselves each week, and post them to your own site. Right now, there isn't a way to easily grab your roster picks each week and post them elsewhere, but if anyone asks for the feature, I'd be happy to add it. Otherwise, it'll be added at some point.

And in addition to PPV prediction games, there are a lot of "free-standing" questions we post here on the site for our players to enter their predictions. You can get those questions, and the results, and post them right on your site! If we ask a question, like "Who'll be the next WWE Champion?", you can grab our data and post it as a new thread on your site. Even if your members aren't playing along here, I'm sure everyone has their own opinion on each of the questions, so maybe it'll spark a nice discussion for you? And of course, if you have your own idea for a question for us to ask here, let us know and it might get added! That'll open it up to our prediction system where you can get the percentages for each answer both from our entire userbase and just from your league.

There are a couple of other types of data you could get, but I'd say the only other one that I can see much use in is our "top 5 wrestler voting" system. Each week, our players can pick their top 5 favorite wrestlers, and the results get tabulated and you can freely get the data as it applies to our entire userbase, and as always, just for your league. That's a new thread per week you could start, letting your members discuss who they enjoyed watching that week! Might be better as a monthly thread, but hey, who knows?

It's a lot of decent content you can take and use on your own site - it's really one of the key reasons I started the site! I wanted to be able to provide some data that could be taken and then discussed on all the different wrestling forums around the web. I have no desire to start up my own forums, but even if I did, I'm not going to change the fact that anyone can take content generated here and use it on any site on the web. Content is something a lot of new wrestling forums are sorely lacking, and no one wants to join a forum where there's nothing fun to do, so feel free to use us as a resource to get a community started!

It might not be overly apparent how you can grab our content easily (and if you have a forum, you'd probably want it in BBCode format), but I'll be happy to explain it as best I can. I don't think it's too difficult, but if you think it is, I'm happy to make changes to make it easier to use!
