4-UP: Tentative Roster for Next Season
When the next season begins of the fantasy wrestling game, the categorization of wrestlers will be heavily modified. I am going to make it a rule that once a season begins, the initial categorization of wrestlers will stay until the end of that season. Seasons are 3-4 months, so it shouldn't be a huge problem - and as everyone has access to choose the same wrestlers, there's no "balancing" issues involved. Of course, released wrestlers will be removed mid-season, and new wrestlers will be added - typically to the undercard, unless they are a returning star or their initial push is obviously heavy.
These are my tentative plans for the categories. Let me know if you disagree with anything!

Before anyone says that many of the guys under Tag Team are no longer in a tag team - I know! But if you ask anyone about any of those names, such as Jesse - "oh, he was in that tag with with Festus, right?" Same goes for Carlito and Primo. I don't want that category to be so sparse, and I still consider all of those guys "tag team caliber wrestlers" at this point.
Changes are all italicized. I was tempted to move CM Punk and Christian to the main event, but since you can choose 2 Upper Midcard wrestlers, and only 1 Main Event wrestler, I think for the purposes of the game this works best.
Remember, the categories ARE done to reflect current status in WWE, but how the placement of wrestlers affects the game is also a factor - so don't take offense if your favorite wrestler isn't in the category you think he belongs in!

The only wrestlers who I plan on moving DOWN a category (other than to Tag Team, which I think is parallel to the midcard category) are: MVP, sadly from Upper Midcard to Midcard. Hopefully the following season I can put him in the Main Event! Chavo Guerrero, from Midcard to Undercard. I think it looks really good, Spencer. I do think that CM Punk should be under main event just because he is the main heel on Smackdown (excluding Edge and Chris Jericho, since Edge is injured and Chris Jericho appears on Raw and Smackdown). But I mean everything else looks good. And I know you'll pretty much be needing to add Drew McIntyre to the game soon, but not yet because he hasn't debuted. But I know you don't add Hornswoggle to the game, but I think you should put him under either undercard or tag team because he's been teaming with Mark Henry, and he did team with Goldust and Finlay in the past. He even also competed for the WWE Tag Team Titles, I believe, last year on a Pay Per View and a few times on Smackdown. Posted on August 11, 2009 at 12:57 AM |

I agree with all of the roster but since Jeff Hardy is gone I think CM Punk or Christian should be moved up to Main Eventer. Also if DX stays around for awhile I think next season they should be moved to tag teams but I know alot can happen in the WWE in the next 3-4 months. Posted on August 29, 2009 at 8:57 PM |
