Season 6 Has Started for 4-UP Fantasy Wrestling & Prediction Games!

So if you log in to the site now, or even just check out the homepage, you'll probably notice that in the rankings, there's no one listed!  And up at the top, you've probably got a bunch of "#NR"'s - that stands for "Not Ranked" (which I made a little note up there for you, too, to make it clear). 

In the past, I kept the site locked in the previous season until an item actually got scored for the new season.  That way you could still easily see your last season rankings right up until the moment rankings got updated the first time in the new season.

Well, that's changing now.  I realized it was a problem when I was trying to set up 4-UP so you could make your first week roster picks - unless I rewrote a lot of 4-UP, it runs off the same season model as the rest of the site.  So until something got scored in the prediction games, 4-UP wouldn't know to switch over to the new season. 

And you know, I think it's better this way.  Everything looks fresh and reset across the site, like it should since we're in a new season.  Who knows how many people I confused with the way it was before? :)

Of course, the first prediction game points are going to get scored this Friday night.  (don't blame me for the spoiler, I didn't post it!)  That'll be fun - there will probably be thousands of people tied for first place with 5 or 10 points.  I'm not sure what the site's going to do in that case - I usually just show all people whose ranking is less than or equal to #10 or #25 or something.  But with tons of people all ranked #1, and me not actually limited the total number of people getting displayed..  we'll see.  I'm pretty sure the homepage will be fine, but league pages where you see your top ranked users - those might get wonky.  I'll fix it as I see it, though, of course!

And so anyway, you can make your first week roster picks now for 4-UP Fantasy Wrestling.  I did shuffle the categories a bit.  Please don't tell me that Carlito and Zack Ryder and others aren't in a tag team anymore - I know that.  But if I really limited the "tag team" categories to ACTUAL tag teams - what would we have?  Priceless, Cryme Tyme, and The Hart Dynasty.  Not much to choose from!
