It's the hot topic over on Smackdown right now, so why not have a question about it? Who do you think is behind the screwjob that happened to Undertaker at Breaking Point?
The choices are listed below. It is possible that it will be revealed that more than one person was behind it - if that happens, the question will be thrown out and no points will be scored. But a note on that - obviously, Teddy Long was INVOLVED, but if it turns out Vince McMahon is behind it and had Teddy Long do what he did - that doesn't mean Teddy Long was behind the screwjob at all. Points would be given to anyone who chose Vince McMahon only in that case. Only if it turns out that Teddy Long helped come up with the idea with Vince would it have been a collaborative effort resulting in both of them together orchestrating the screwjob.
We're pretty much looking for one person to come out and say something like "It was me, Austin, it was me all along!" If that never happens, similar to no one ever coming out and really taking full responsibility for the attacks on Jeff Hardy last year (though Matt Hardy almost admitted to it - but not enough to count for the answer), the question will simply fade away.
Just post a comment here if you have questions. The question does end very soon, so be quick!

The "Screwjob" was supposedly orchastrated Teddy Long because he was in suspension (I believe) and he had to come upwith a "great idea" for Breaking Point. HOWEVER, I think C.M Punk came up with the idea because he was DESPERATE to make the Undertaker "tap out" to back up his speeches and promises. So, I am going with C.M. PUNK as the real force behind the idea! Posted on September 23, 2009 at 10:15 PM |

My guess? Teddy Long was on Probation, NOT Suspension (Okay, Phenom666?), and he was aware of the Screwjob. Referee Scott Armstrong was no Earl Hebner. Vickie Guerrero is no longer in the WWE, but that Hell's Gate finisher she banned did cause internal bleeding in the past. And Mr. McMahon? He wasn't aware of, though he still remembers, the Screwjob from 12 years ago. My guess is either Tyson Kidd, who was trained by Screwjob victim and Hall of Famer, Bret Hart, and plans to get revenge, or probably Mr. McMahon himself, since T-Lo & Scott Armstrong DID say they did it to keep their jobs. My pick: It's gotta be Mr. McMahon. Posted on September 24, 2009 at 12:58 AM |

in storyline theory i take it? in that way of thinking i say knowing Long's probation situation & his needing to come up w/ something big for breaking point i'm saying CM Punk brought the idea to Teddy to "help" Long in his situation, but really just to benefit himself of course. I think it was C.M. Punk and Teddy. Posted on September 24, 2009 at 4:58 PM |

Vince McMahon Reasons could be anything, Vince has been keeping an eye on teddy and i think screwing over Undertaker was to make sure teddy would do whatever Vince wanted. Also Vince and Taker have a colorful pass, but i think the first one makes the most sence. Posted on September 24, 2009 at 5:53 PM |

i would go with punk. the reasons being are these: 1. why would vince screw the undertaker after vince got his a*s kicked in 2003 in the bury alive match(although kane help vince win) 2. teddy is suspen(that be my second choice) but why he go after the undertaker when he brought taker back into the title match? 3. stephanie would only scerw undertaker at wrestlemania b/c she and shane dont want taker to be unbeaten at wrestlemania. 3. vickie is gone. 4. though edge and taker had history, why would edge go after taker? 5.triple h and shawn are on raw. plus why would they want taker seek them out when they got legacy to worry about? 6.whats the point of the hart dynasty going after taker when taker wasnt invoid in the 1997 Montreal scewjob? they should of go after shawn to repent brets loss. yes long restarted the match but the question is did he wanted to? punk just want to make himself to be the first person to make taker tap out and to put that on his adcivment list though taker never tap. just to add to my comment. on my thoughts about shephanie. her and shane in real life dont like the fact that the undertaker is 17-0. but as long undertaker is in the wwe and vince owns the company undertaker will remain undefted in wrestlemania. that is the agreement that the undertaker and vince had years ago on the takers contract. therefore i dont really dont think shephanie orchestrated the screwjob at breaking point. To answers WHC#6: Yes you are correct, I was wrong. It was probation but with threat of suspension. However, Tyson Kidd??? That makes no sense to the current goings on in the WWE. Where did you get information that Bret Hart is out for revenge still or that Tyson Kidd would be out to revenge Bret? If you want somebody to pay for the original Screwjob, you would attack McMahon, Shawn, or even Hebner. Not Taker'. If you read Shawn Michaels' book, he says when he went into the locker room right after the Screwjob happened, Taker' asked "Did you know that was going to happen?" Shawn lied and said "No, I didn't." Taker's response was, "All right." Taker even had a personal conference with Vince in his office to have everything explained to him. Taker told Shawn that they 'were cool' after it was all explain by Vince. Taker has said he will always do what's best for the business but he didn't like the original Screwjob. So punishing him is ridiculous. By the way WHC#6: Do you really believe Taker's Hell's Gate actually caused REAL bleeding? If it happened once I would agree with you, but repeated injuries like that? Then half the locker room would have been out for days because internal bleeding of the throat would leave damage that would make breathing strong enough to talk, let alone wrestle impossible. You should read up on some of the insider books on the industry or some of the veterans books about some the tricks that can be pulled. To quote Taker' in an interview he gave, "The fans only see what we let them see." Posted on September 25, 2009 at 12:49 AM |

I don't know who orchestrated the screwjob but I knew they wouldn't let Undertaker get title at Breaking Point because it makes more since for him to get it at the Hell in a Cell PPV since that match that fits with his character better and he can send Punk on a nice vacation like he did with Edge. Shane McMahon It would be a perfect come back for him. Yea it could be vince, but he has to worry about the guests host, Stephanie aswell though she could be Like maybe a story line as McMahon And Punk affair, What about kane or Khali they could to. hey phenom666, you are half right. i watch hbks heartbreaks and trumiph dvd last night and found that yes, not only he didnt like the ideal but was doing what he was told which was the right thing. brets contract was suppose to end the raw after suvior series 1997, but since he did not handle things well as professial, him and vince left on bad terms. however, shawn feels guilty and that bret, vince or earl didn't screw bret but feels that he (shawn) scerw bret. if he had the opptuity, he would tell bret that he know about the ideal and that he screw bret.
