So the site has officially switched over to season 7, which I currently have set to end the week following WrestleMania 26. (hard to find TNA's PPV schedule that far in advance, so if it turns out that Lockdown is on the weekend I have the season ending, I'll adjust the season end to a week further most likely)
First up, you will see that there ARE rankings already in place. That's because there was a question posted a while back (right when Jeff Hardy departed WWE) asking if Matt Hardy would become world champion before 2010. Since on New Year's Day I was able to say for sure that the answer to that question was "no", the question was scored and rankings are updated. Of course, MANY people got this question right, so there is a huge tie for 1st place right now. 4DownChamp gets the visibility at the top as the current leader, only because it's going alphabetically. (there'd be no way to show all the current #1 ranked users, because it's so many!)
Have no fear, once either the first TNA PPV of the year comes and goes, or at the least the Royal Rumble, rankings will certainly be varied once again.
Also, I've opened up 4-UP so you can begin making your first week picks. The first game week begins January 17th, so just make sure to lock in your picks prior to that date.
I swapped many wrestlers around in categories based on their current positions in the company. So you should notice the differences if you've been playing. Just for example, I've moved Sheamus from undercard all the way up to upper midcard, and Kofi Kingston made the jump from midcard to upper midcard.. while Carlito has dropped from midcard to undercard. Many other changes were made, though.

Also, if you're wondering why you're not ranked if you answered wrong on the Matt Hardy question - it's because you still have 0 points. You must have a positive number of points in the season to be ranked at all. I think the credibility of triple h gave the heavy weight belt to Sheamus. He's not ready to be a full around champion. Someone like Matt Hardy, MVP, Shelton Benjamen, and many more. Hey cletus, regarding 4-UP, I know the main reason TNA guys aren't on there is because of Impact's weird taping schedule. If TNA started permanently doing live Monday shows, I'd consider making a separate 4-UP for TNA. I might also consider doing a combined WWE+TNA 4-UP. Because I'm sure pure WWE fans wouldn't want to play if wrestlers they've never heard of are choices for their rosters. I think we're a LONG way off from that, though. But I'd be happy if it happens. TNA thriving can only benefit this site after all. :) (right now way less than half of the WWE PPV prediction players also play in TNA items) Same thing with Ring of Honor. If they'd start doing regular live PPVs, I'd like to do Ring of Honor PPV prediction games. (however, you'd only be ranked per PPV, and there may be an overall ROH ranking, but it wouldn't count towards the current overall prediction game rankings - since I'd guess only 5-10% of players here even know ROH. (I did reach out to ROH personally to see if they'd be down for me doing that - since I'd want to get the cards in advance and potentially promotional material to try and get more of the "WWE Universe" to discover their compnay.. but they never responded to me) Posted on January 8, 2010 at 11:36 AM Season 14 Overall Rank: #266 (Rank in League: #8) |

Also to add on the TNA 4-UP.. remember, I wouldn't even be able to do 4-UP at all if it weren't for the awesome people who've been helping out by entering the data. (apsouthern, HeartbreakGod, nighte, Glamarella, and wwefan18) I'd have to find more people to help with the TNA data, which would be tough - and I don't see myself becoming a regular TNA TV viewer so it'd also be harder for me to "proofread" the entered results like I can for the WWE data. Yeah, I think it would be cool, too. What I could do is just include Raw, Smackdown, Impact, and then all PPVs - leaving out ECW and Superstars, since those give plenty of chances for Raw/SD stars to get in more matches per week. (which would mean for the undercard guys, WWE guys would be the better picks too often I think) I'd love it but I have doubts that TNA would ever permanently move to Monday night. I think Spike might start doing more UFC shows when Raw is on, which may help TNA indirectly, but won't do anything to allow me to run a combined 4-UP! Though now that you have me really thinking about it.. I COULD make a combined 4-UP game where you can only pick your roster based on when Impact is taped. That'd mean there would be fewer times to adjust your roster, but might be fun.. what do you think about that? Though I have a lot of things I have to finish building before I could think about doing that. (including the more roleplay-ish fantasy game that mitch176 will be helping me develop and I know he's super anxious for me to get started on it!)
