4-UP: Final Week of Season 9

Right now, NeedRepairs is winning, and I'm not sure if anyone can catch up in this last week!
The next season begins 3 weeks after the end of season 9. That is to allow new players ample time to lock in first week picks.

Spencer, is this season beginning with the Royal Rumble Pay Per View? Also, I had something I was thinking about in 4-UP and I'm kinda wondering about it. Why don't superstars earn points for Massive FFA. I think it should be awarding at least two points because they are the hardest matches to win, such as the Royal Rumble Match that has 30 superstars and two start with a new entry every 90 seconds, and matches like the Battle Royals and such. I think the Massive FFA should have two, possibly one points added for each superstar involved. It just makes sense because I know Pay Per Views offer it as one point, but television shows offer it as none, and then look what happens on television when they have Battle Royals (or even a Mini Royal Rumble Match), such as last night on Raw during the 15 Diva Battle Royal to crown the 2010 Diva of the Year, each diva gained zero points for being in a match, so some divas only earned three points for being in the ring, and earned nothing else because they had no eliminations, they earned zero points for the match type, and they didn't win the match and only one did, whom was Michelle McCool, so it just didn't make sense. But let me know then, Spencer, to see if it'll be giving points starting next season or if it'll be remaining at zero points. Maybe, it should award the superstars (or divas) one point on television and two points on Pay Per Views. Just a thought. Posted on December 14, 2010 at 1:38 PM |

The reason why points aren't given just for the fact that a wrestler is in a large battle royale is because a lot of wrestlers are tossed in those to fill out the match (someone who is in the Rumble for 5 seconds really shouldn't be getting any points for that, other than the appearance In Ring). The points for those matches should really only come from scoring eliminations and actually winning the whole thing. I think it's more "prestigious" for a wrestler to be given a one-on-one match at a PPV or on TV, and means next-to-nothing for a wrestler to be part of a 30-man match unless that wrestler actually wins it. That's the basis for why a singles match earns more points than any other type. I don't think that if Santino Marella, for example, is in the Rumble match, scores no eliminations, and doesn't win the match, that he should get any points at all for being in that match. He's just a bit player. No booking decision went into him being a part of the match other than "we need to get 30 guys in this match."
