How Will NXT Affect The 4-UP WWE Fantasy Wrestling Game
Now that you're able to make your roster selections for the week of February 21st - which includes the premiere episode of NXT (the replacement for ECW once ECW closes up this Tuesday) - I know a few of you have emailed wondering how it's going to affect the 4-UP game.
Well, I don't know yet! While some news has come out about the format of NXT, it's not something officially confirmed by WWE.
But I can say this - unless NXT is a typical wrestling show, and the wrestlers on the show can appear on WWE PPVs, it will NOT be a part of the game. If it's more of a reality show in the same vein as Tough Enough and The Ultimate Fighter, then it really doesn't make sense to include it in 4-UP.
Now, of course, if it is presented as a type of reality competition show, then you can definitely expect to be able to make predictions about it here at the site!
And what's going to happen to all the ECW wrestlers? They're still available as choices on your roster. Well, again, I'm not sure yet. If they're all moved to other brands, then there's nothing to worry about. If some get released, they'll be removed from the game. And if any become a part of NXT, it will just depend on how NXT is done.
As soon as we get more info, I'll post an update about it!

What does everyone think? Should NXT be included in 4-UP? The NXT rookies would all have to go in the Undercard section. Potentially I could create a whole new "NXT Rookie" grouping but I don't want to have a category that only applies to one show, so I don't want to do that. The main reason I'm tempted to want to have NXT scored is because it adds incentive to choose the mentors in 4-UP. Normally there might be no reason not to choose the absolute top guys for certain categories - Cena, HHH, HBK, Batista, or Taker in the main event category, for instance - but with a new show like NXT where guys like Jericho and Punk get additional time and matches, it would probably cause people to go with those guys over the other choices.
