Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you - The Return of Chris Jericho.

May 5, 2011 - WWE Extreme Rules

After a night of hardcore matches featuring various stipulations, we reach the World Heavyweight Championship Ladder Match where Christian takes on Alberto Del Rio for the vacant title.

It's a hard-fought battle with ups and downs and big moments abounding. At one point, Christian lays a ladder on a downed Del Rio in the ring and hits a frog splash on top of steel and flesh. Later, Del Rio and Christian are battling under the World Heavyweight Championship that hangs above the center of the ring. They each climb up a side of the ladder directly underneath the belt. They exchange blows until Del Rio hits an enzuigiri on Christian and both men fall to the mat. The end of the match comes when Christian clotheslines Del Rio over the ringside barricade and both men fall into the crowd. They both slowly get up and try to make their way back to the ring, but there is someone on the ladder....it's Ricardo Rodriguez! Ricardo grabs the World Championship and tosses it down to his employer.

May 6, 2011 - Smackdown!

A highlight reel is shown revealing Alberto Del Rio as the new World Champion. As the crowd boos, a graphic shows that there will be a celebration later in the evening for the triumphant Del Rio.

Later, a vignette shows Chris Jericho's elimination from Dancing with the Stars. He finished 4th behind Romeo, Kendra Wilkinson, and Hines Ward.

After the video, the camera cuts to Tony Chimel in the ring. He says, "Ladies and gentlemen, Chris Jericho!" Jericho's music hits and he comes out to the stage to a huge pop from the crowd. Booker T says, "What the hell? Jericho is here? This is cool, man."

Jericho appeases to the crowd on his way to the ring, where he grabs a microphone. He then performs a few light-hearted dance steps in the ring to everyone's amusement before beginning. "Wow, never thought I'd be able to do that. Well, I may not be the best dancer in the world, but I am the best in the world at what I do. Am I right?" The crowd cheers him on. "Well, as you all know, what I do is WRESTLE." Mumbling can audibly be heard from the announce team's headsets. "I've been told my next match is right now, and I dedicate my return to my good friend, Edge, who was forced to retire while I was out of action."

Drew McIntyre's music hits as he heads to the ring to face Jericho. Jericho dominates this return match, hardly getting hit with any offense from McIntyre. Within three minutes Jericho hits the Codebreaker and gets the three count to the crowd's delight.

Later, Del Rio's celebration gets cut short by Christian who comes out and says, "Alberto, you didn't win the World Heavyweight Championship at Extreme Rules. If anyone did, it was Ricardo Rodriguez." Teddy Long comes out to clear things up. "Listen up playas. Alberto Del Rio, you are the World Heavyweight Champion, but the way you won was all kinds of shady. So next week, we'll have a rematch between Alberto Del Rio and his opponent, Christian. But that's not all. There will be a special guest referee, this man." Jericho's music hits. He steps out next to Teddy and Christian as Smackdown goes off the air.

May 13, 2011 - Smackdown!

The main event begins with Del Rio defending his championship against Christian with Jericho as the referee. Jericho is obviously in favor of his fellow Canadian as he gives Christian the benefit of the doubt on all of the close calls. Things keep going Christians way until he hits Alberto with the Killswitch! He covers....1.....2..........NO! Jericho gets taken out by Brodus Clay. The bell rings and the match is thrown out. Once again, Teddy Long has to come out to clear things up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa, hold on there playas. This match is a no contest, but we have to settle this. At Over the Limit, it will be Alberto Del Rio vs. Christian in a No Disqualification match for the World Heavyweight Championship." The camera shows Del Rio and Clay in the ring and Jericho and Christian laid out on the ringside floor as the show ends.

May 20, 2011

It is announced that the main event this evening will be Alberto Del Rio and Brodus Clay versus Christian and Chris Jericho in a tag team match.

Our main event sees some fast-paced action with Brodus Clay beating down both Christian and Jericho for the majority of the match until he charges at Jericho outside the ring, but misses as Jericho slams him into the ringpost. Meanwhile the legal men inside the ring battle and Christian hits Del Rio with the Killswitch. But before he can cover, Jericho tags himself in. Del Rio staggers back up, but gets hit with a Codebreaker for the 1, 2, 3.

Christian and Jericho win, but Christian looks confused. He gets in the ring to confront Jericho but walks right into a Codebreaker! Jericho continues beating on Christian. For the third week in a row, Teddy Long has to settle things. He comes out and says, "Chris Jericho, I don't know what's gotten into you playa. You've told us all that you dedicated your return to Edge, but then you turn on his best friend? I don't get it, playa." Jericho grabs a mic. "Teddy, I've been in this business long enough to know how easy it is to fool these mindless parasites, but I didn't know you were so gullible. It has been and always will be about me." Teddy responds, "Well I got good news and bad news for ya, playa. The good news is I'm adding you to the World Heavyweight Championship match at Over the Limit. The bad news is you have two opponents that aren't too happy with you after this week. Good luck, Jericho." The camera shows Jericho surveying his damage as the show goes off the air.

May 22, 2011 - Over the Limit

Our main event is a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship. Jerry Lawler says, "In this No DQ match, I have to give the edge to that underhanded Jericho"

The match starts kind of slowly as the three opponents feel each other out. They have even hatred for each other at this point, but the crowd favors Christian. They each take turns with the advantage. Midway through the match, Brodus Clay comes out and takes out both Christian and Jericho with charging headbutts. It looks like Del Rio will win because of the No DQ stipulation and Brodus Clay in his corner. Del Rio and Jericho are down in the ring and Clay has Christian on the outside. Big Brodus clears the announce table and smashes Christian through it. He then enters the ring and charges at Jericho, but Jericho moves. Clay mistakenly nails Del Rio with his Rhino-like charge. Jericho then tosses Clay from the ring and hits Del RIo with the Codebreaker for the 1, 2, 3.

Winner and new World Heavyweight Champion - Chris Jericho

Jericho goes on to hold the Championship for longer than he lasted on Dancing with the Stars.
