Does Womens Wrestling have a future?

Does womens wrestling have a future apart from providing eye candy to the hoards of male viewers? The standard of womens wrestling especially in the wwe is terrible and in some cases dangerous on the most recent edition of smackdown Michelle Mccool had problems getting Gail Kim into the right postion for the move and nearly dropped her. Gail Kim in the same match was clearly telling the other women what to do because although she is probably the most talented women wrestler she obviously does not trust the skills of fellow workers. Over on TNA the knockout division was great, using a type of wrestling that the WWE did not embrace to enhance its shows. However they no longer have the same quality and the division is floundering. The females in both companys rarely have any story lines based on them or given any time on the mic.

So we have a division with little talent, in this day and age there is no reason women can not do things men do, its just not expected of them, so the work level is lower with no one pushing for their spot. Nearly all the women could have the same level of skill, as a middle tier cruiserweight, and people like Chyna, Awsome Kong and Beth Phoenix show that some have the same strength as heavyweight men.

Unless the skill level improves and they start getting relevant storylines, I say womens wrestling should be stopped until things improve, as at the moment they are only embarassing themselves and the wrestling world to the casual viewer. They could become Valets and Managers in the meantime, so the male viewers still get their fill of stunning ladies.
