Harking Back To The Good Old Days
Recently on the WWE lots of in jokes have appeared about things that happened in the past, Vinces famous XFL, Goldbergs wig, Dusty Rhodes the common man and his Polka Dots. Along with guest host likely to contain a large amount of hall of famers/legends ie the million dollar man, now I get all these gags and im sure most of the people reading this do as well, but what about the people who dont? The WWE needs to make sure it does not alienate the future watchers of the sport by constantly making reference to things that happened many years ago, as with no idea what they are talking about, these segments will be boring to many. I and I am sure many of you find them amusing, but they need to be occasional, not on a regular basis. After all new fans of wrestling are the future of the sport.

the jokes aren't common enough to throw off new viewers and i wish if anything they'd make more mention of the past because then storylines might make more sense! like with any tv show there are things you won't understand if you haven't been watching, like starting LOST in season 4 or something. but at least in wrestling there are still matches to watch and it doesn't really matter what you know when two guys are wrestling Posted on July 10, 2009 at 1:35 PM Season 14 Overall Rank: #527 (Rank in League: #18) |
