The next wwe ppv Breaking Point is based around submission matches. These matches can be good if the wrestlers in them are famed for their submission moves, ie Kurt Angle. However most wrestlers dont use a submission as their finisher and are not used to such matches, so what is the point of creating a ppv based around them? It seems to me that the WWE has gone theme mad and is trying to give all their ppvs a particular theme, this is fine if it it the Royal Rumble, Survivor Series etc, but submission moves give me a break, they are also planning one with all the matches in a cage ala TNA's Lockdown, this just strikes of overkill and reduces the impact of the main event. A varied set of matches is best for a ppv because it causes the viewer to look forward to the next different match and could create new viewers if they wish to see a particular match!

Breaking Point could be a way to push the 'talent' to enhance their set of moves. As fans, we haven't seen too many submission finishes in WWE lately. Making every match a submission match makes every superstar show what they've really got. Making someone give up is the ultimate way to humiliate someone...to truly let them know that you are superior. Then again, maybe they were just tired of Unforgiven... Ok, while I agree with the fact that the theme stuff is getting old. I kinda agree ith Cooper. This PPV will make the wrestlers show what they really have. Instead of beating eachother till they can't stand up, they have to make the other person admit that their oponent has truly gotten the best of them. It will make so of them made and others will be embarassed, but it is a way to prove who's the best this one time. while i kinda agree with u, it is always good to see something new and in this circumstance is great cause only the main events are submission themed. one is an i quit match that u dont even need a submission to win and in the other taker has the hells gate and punk has that weird 1 where he puts his knees in the other lads back. hopefully at hiac only the whc and wwe championships will be inside the cell.
