What's Up With That? (Ric Flair)
Welcome to the first official epidose of the "What's Up With That?" show. I'm your host Dare2believe and this week I ask the question to the one and only Nature Boy, Ric Flair, the "Man" himself, What's Up With That?"
We all are aware of his accolades inside the squared circle. Ric Flair is a former 16 time World Champion in the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), World Championship Wrestling (WCW) and the World Wrestling Entertaintment (WWE). He's a Hall of Famer and for years has been called the "Dirtiest Player in the Game."
Since signing on with Total Nonstop Action (TNA) he has been calling himself a "god." Here it is ladies and gentlemen.....wait for it.....wait...."What's Up With that?" Why do you have the "god complex?" Slick Ric is no more a "god" than his success rate of climbing the top turnbuckle to execute a move. (As we all know the majority of the time he is caught and slammed to the mat).
Come on 'Naitch", stop with this "god" thing and be yourself. I don't have an issue with you forming and managing Fortune, comprised of Beer Money Inc., A.J. Styles, and Kazarian, and I don't have too much of an issue with you running with the Hogan/Bischoff regime called Immortal (perhaps that is where the god complex comes in).
You have 30 plus years of experience to teach these up and coming greats to become great champions. A.J. has already been named Pro Wrestling Illustrated magazine's number one in the world in their annual Top 500. Beer Money Inc. is already one ot the best tag teams in recent history and as of this writing the TNA world tag champions. Kazarian is the current as of January 31 (the day of this blog) the X division champion.
You see, brother, that you have a crop of already great superstars that you can bring to another level to become the elite, the best of the best, but all I'm asking is stop with this "I'm god" madness, for crying out loud!!!
On a final note, let me say congratulations to Alberto del Rio of the WWE on winning the Royal Rumble, looks like he is about to get a huge push over there.
Final thought: In all my predictions for the Royal Rumble I really thought Triple H would make his in ring return and capture the Rumble, especially being that it was their first ever 40 man rumble. I should have seen it coming when I read earlier in the week that he only considers himself a "special attraction" star. Looks like the "The Game" is over and is going fully corporate on the universe.
