Live from "The World's Most Famous Arena," Madison Square Garden in New York City.
The Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin sings the National Athem offering a soulful rention of the Star Spangled Banner, bringing t he fans to a patriotic frenzy.
JR begins, "Welcome ladies and gentlement to Madison Square Garden, "The World's Most Famous Arena!" Tonight, DOMINION presents our first PPV, BRAWL in the FALL. We have an exciting lineup for you tonight."
JBL interrupts, "That's right JR. In tonight's main event we have a triple threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship when Bryan Danielson faces Cowboy James Storm and Bobby Roode."
DOMINION GM Paul Heyman emerges from the back and comes to the ring. "Welcome everyone to New York City and Madison Square Garden. DOMINION Wrestling is bringing you BRAWL in the FALL tonight. I have some important news to share with you and we will get to what you came here to see. I have been negotiating with a major superstar for several weeks and we have come to an agreement. He will be making his DOMINION debut at our weekly show next week on The Discovery Channel. But for tonight, we have a deal with the WWE to work one of their matches on tonight's card. DOMINION will still be its own entity, but they are allowing their talent to come over to settle their feuds since we are not restricted to a PG rating. That being said, in the second main event Randy Orton will take on Cody Rhodes in a No Holds Barred match!"
The fans cheer for the news rather loud.
Heyman concludes, "Now let's get down to what we do best, have at it boys!"
"Introducing first, from Mineeapolis Minnesota, ODB!"
The loud female redneck comes out to a mixed reaction from the NY crowd. Her ring music "I'm About to Freak" plays as she enters the ring."
"And her opponent from Jacksonville, FL, DOMINION Ladies champion, Kelly Kelly!"
Kelly's ring music, "Holla" playes as the Ladies champion comes to the ring to a huge reception from the crowd.
ODB attacks before the bells, stunning the champion. The ref finally restores order and calls for the bell. ODB continues her attack on the Jacksonville beauty. ODB clearly has a power and weight advantage and uses it. The challenger whips Kelly Kelly hard into the turnbuckle and follows her with a hard running clothesline. Kelly crumples to the mat and ODB attempts a pin. Kelly kicks out at two.
ODB grabs Kelly and bodyslams her hard. ODB runs across the ring and uses the ropes to create momentum, she hits a splash on Kelly Kelly. Another pinning attempt. Kelly once again kicks out at two. ODB kicks the champion with a series of kicks that has the ladies champion on the defense.
The challenger attempts to apply a leglock, but Kelly rolls her into a small package. ODB easily kicks out at 1 1/2. Kelly whips ODB toward the ropes b ut she reverses it and Kelly hits the ropes. She's met with a hard kick to the mid section and a double axe handle to the back.
ODB tosses the champion over the top rope. The fans boo the challenger because Kelly Kelly is really over with the the fans. ODB follows Kelly outside the ring. Kelly grabs ODB's arm and pulls her hard causing her shoulder to slam against he ring post. Kelly Slams ODB's arm into the ring apron and rolls her back inside the ring. Kelly whips ODB into the turnbuckl and backflps and summer saults across the ring finishing with a backsplash to the much larger opponent.
Kelly Kelly applies a head scissors and spins around and around ending by sending ODB through the ropes. The challenger makes her way back inside the ring and is met with a running knee lift. The champion grabs ODB in a head lock and takes her town. She floats over and goes for a pin, but ODB kicks out at two. Kelly picks up ODB and executes a tilt a whirl DDT and gets the victory, retain her DOMINION Ladies Championship.
Triple H is seen backstage approaching Paul Heyman's office. He enters and they greet each other with a handshake.
The backstage interviewer approaches DOMINION World Heavyweight Champion, Bryan Danielson. "Bryan Danielson, what is your strategy in facing Cowboy James Storm and Bobby Roode in the Triple Threat Match tonight, knowing that they have been longtim tag team partners and best friends for years?"
Danielson answers, "Granted it is odd that this is labeled a Triple Threat match when in reality is is a handicap match. I am betting on the hunger in those two guys to cause them to desire this belt more than anything else and they will begin to fight each other. When that happens I'll cash in on it and keep my championship."
"Your next match is a cross federation championship match. Introducing first from Elizabeth New Jersey, representing DOMINION wrestling, Jay Lethal!"
Lethal's ring music, "Static" plays as the young superstar makes his way to the ring to a great fan reaction.
JR remarks, "We are pretty much in Lethals backyard tonight. He must be excited to be near his hometown and surely has friends and family in attendance tonight."
JBL adds, "The homefield advantage will definately play a role for him tonight JR, but the champion he is facing knows how to deal with adversity such as that and he has plenty of experience to overcome those odds."
"Introducing next, from Ring of Honor Wrestling, the Ring of Honor Heavyweight Champion, from Othello Washington, Davey Richards!"
JR reports, "One of Richards trainers was Mr. Wonderful Paul Orndorff. That means he has had a veteran of the ring wars training him which should help him tonight to retain his title."
JBL adds, "He's been active for seven years and has held multiple titles. He's just not had a lot of national exposure so is pretty much not known by most wrestling fans."
The ring announcer continues, "This match is for the Ring of Honor championship".
The bell rings and both superstarts hook up. Richards is first on the offensive with an arm drag takedown. Lethal is quickly back to his feet and is once again taken down with another arm drag. AS he gets to his feet again, Richards takes him to the mat with a hip lock takedown.
Richards covers Lethal but the challenger is not worn down enough. That wias simply some mind games to get Lethal's mind on the possibility that he could lose that quick.
Richards grabs Lethal in a headlock. Lethal escapes by reversing it into a hammerlock. The challenger shoves Richards shoulder into the turnbuckle and applies an armbar. Richards gets to his feet and flips over for a dover, the referee counts a quick two before Lethal kicks out.
Lethal surprises Richards with a standing dropkick. The New Jersey kid pounces on Richards with a Thez Press, another cover but the champion kicks out. Lethal grabs Richards and whips him into the ropes, as he rebounds, Lethal hits a perfectly executed Hurricanrana that stuns the champion. Lethal goes for the cover. One...Two... Thr...Richards gets his foot across the bottom rope.
JR reports, "These two are putting on a wrestling clinic tonight JBL."
JBL retorts, "I'm waiting to see their emotions kicks and and tempers flare. Then we will see a great match."
Lethal applies a ankle lock submission. Richards struggles by twisting enough to cause the hold to be broken. The c hampion is favoring his leg. Lethal capitalizes on this and dropkicks Richards in his knee. He applies a Figure 4 Leglock. Richards is in pain and struggles to escape. He refuses to tap and after a hard struggle he reverses it causing Lethal to release the hold. Richards is slow to his feet. Lethal springs catlike to his.
Lethal tries a spinning heel kick but Richards is able to avoid the contact. He elnches his fist and hits Lethal is rocked. Richards continues punching the challenger. Lethal is on his heels covering up. Richards hits a belly to belly suplex. He goes for the cover. Lethal barely gets a shoulder up before the referee makes the three count.
Richards applies a Boston Crab on Lethal. Lethal bravely inches himself to the ropes. The ref calls for the break. Richards slams Lethal's head into the turnbuckle ten times. Richards dropkicks Lethal in the back of his head. Lethal is staggered. Richards climbs the top rope. He goes for his Shooting Star Press finisher bu Lethal rolls out of the way.
As Richards gets to his feet, Lethal hits a inverted Suplex, flipped into a sitout wheelbarrow facebuster. He goes for the cover, One....Two....Three!
"Your winner and NEW Ring of Honor Heavyweight Champion, Jay Lethal!"
As the newly crowned Ring of Honor champion exits the ring, Jim Ross stops him for a quick interview. "Jay, you have just won the Ring of Honor Heavyweight Championship, how do you feel?
Lethal responds, "First of all I want to thank God for the ability He's givem. I feel great, JR. I will defend this title with HONOR and RESPECT. I will be a fighting champion and will never avoid any challenger that the promoters place in front of me!"
JR concludes, "Enjoy it young man, you earned it."
Backstage, Triple H is in a heated telephone conversation and is overheard, "Vince, I made the decision to allow Randy and Cody to settle the score here tonight. It will not interfere with Smackdown this week."
"Your next match is a LAST MAN STANDING match. Introducing first, from parts unknown, "The Monster" Abyss!"
As Abyss's ring music, "Black" Hole" blasts over the sound system, the 6'9, 350 lbs monster makes his way tot he ring.
"And his opponent from Venice Beach California, "The Icon" STING!
JR says, 'I've known Sting for 20 years. What he lacks in size, especially compared to Abyss, he makes up in heart. This match will not be a cakewalk for either man."
JBL adds, "I've never seen either of these guys other than on TV, I'm looking forward to seeing them go at it tonight."
The ring announcer finishes, "The man that cannot make the referee's 10 count will be the loser."
The bell rings and any thought of a wrestling match is quickly out the window. This is an all out brawl. Abyss is using his huge arms as clubs to batter Sting. Abyss whips Sting into the ropes and hits a big boot to his face. Sting is up by the five count. Abyss clotheslines Sting over the top rope and follows him out. He smashes Sting's head into the steel steps. He attempts to do this again, but Sting blocks it. Sting slams Abyss' face into the steps.
JR notes, "It appears Abyss may have recieved a cut on his head from that step."
Sting whips Abyss toward the ring barrier, but Abyss reverses and sends Sting into it instead. Abyss runs with full force and with his knees, he crashes them into Sting. Sting body breaks through the barrier. The referee begins the count. Sting makes it o his feet by eight.
Abyss clotheslines Sting once again. While Sting is down, the monster grabs a table and sets it up. He pulls Sting towards teh table but Sting escapes the Monster's grip and kicks Abyss in the leg just above his knee. Sting lifts him up and attempts to bash Abyss head into the ring post. Abyss reverses it and Sting hits the ring post instead.. Abyss starts clearnign the announce table free of the monitors, allowing Sting recovery time.
Sting is up on the ring apron. He runs with a flying clothesline to Abyss. Sting punches Abysss several times and slides back into the ring. Abyss is in the corner and Sting rungs and hits the Monster with his Stinger Splash. He pulls Abyss out of the corner and hits a Scorpion Death drop. The refereee counts but Abyss makes hit to his feet at nine.
Sting runs to hit another clothesline but is caught by Abyss. The Monster chokeslams Stng the the table that he had previously set up. Amazingly, Sting is up by nine. Abyss clotheslines Sting over the top rope once again. Sting is up before the count of ten again.
JBL says, "Sting is almost impervious to pain tonight."
Abyss is beside himself because he can't put Sting away. The monster hits "Shock Treatment" on the Stinger. He follows that with a "Black Hole Slam". The referee starts the count and once again, Sting is to his feet before the 10 count. Abyss stands in total bewilderment.
With Abyss's momentary lapse in focus Sting takes advantage. A kick to Abyss's mid section, a running clothesline, another Scorpion deathdrop. Sting tosses Abyss over the op rope. Sting slams The Monster face first into the announce table. The Icon pulls the Monster atop the announce table and drops him with a Scorpion Death Drop, collapsing the talbe. The referee makes the count, Abyss fails to get to his feet in time.
"The LAST MAN STANDING, and your winner, Sting!"
JR sets up the next match, "While the cage is being set up for our next match, let's bring the fans up to speed on why AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels have such bad blood between them.'
JBL reports, "JR, according to my researcher..."
JR responds, "You have a researcher?"
JBL brags "The perks of a financier and millionaire such as myself, JR!"
JBL continues, "According to the research, these two have been closer than brothers for years. AJ has won world titles and is a grand slam winner in another company. He was the #1 ranked wrestler in the Pro Wrestling Illustrated annual top 500. Daniels has had moderate success and has become envious of Styles stature in the business."
JR adds, "So you're telling us that Daniels has watched AJ's rise to stardom, thinking he should be elevated himself. Therefore Daniels has won a couple of battles with Styles, but has yet to get out from under his shadow and has sworn to take him down and prove that he's worthy of the same status?"
JBL replies,"That's it in a nutshell JR."
JR notes, "Looks like we are ready for the next match."
"This next match is a steel cage match. The only way to win is to escape the cage by getting both feet to touch the floor. Introducing first, from the City of Angels, Los Angeles California, "The Fallen Angel" Christopher Daniels!"
Daniels ring music "Coming Alive" plays as he makes his way to the ring to very little fanfare. Daniels inspect the cage before entering.
"And his opponent, from Gainesville Georgia, "The Phenomal" AJ Styles. "Get Ready to Fly", AJ's ring music, plays as he makesa his way to the ring. He is received warmly by the fans. AJ inspects the cage with a concerned look, but yet remaining confident.
He enters the cage and the door is closed and locked. The bell rings and bothe Styles and Daniels eye each other warily. The two friends/enemies lock up. Daniels sllips behind AJ and slams his head into the cage. Daniels whips Styles across the ring but sets early for a backflip. AJ Stops short and kicks Daniels. AJ quickly hits a Pele kick on Daniels. He climbs to the tope rope and leaps back with a Moonsault.
AJ picks up Daniels and slams his head into the cage like a dart, cutting his head. AJ pounds away at the cut, opening it even more. AJ Bodyslams Daniels and drop and elbow across his chest.
Styles grabs Daniels and again whips him into the ropes. Dandies uses the momentum to prompel himself onto the cage and begins to climb, hoping to escape. AJ realizes and begins to climb the cage himself. The two are battling on the top rope while holding on to the cage. Daniel's kicks AJ's legs causing him to slip and he crotches the top rope and crumples tot he mat. Daniels sneers and leaps off with a double leg drop across Styles chest.
Daniels picks styles up and crashes his head hard into the steel cage busting open AJ's head. Both men are bleeding profusely. Daniels hits AJ with a low blow followed bya tilt a whirl suplex. Daniels hits his finisher "The BME" (Best Moonsault Ever) whcih drives the wind from AJ.
Christopher Daniels starts to climb the cage to escape. AJ, amazingly catches him at the top and stops him. AJ pushes Daniels from the top of the cage. Daniels crashes to the mat. AJ perches at the top of the cage and instead of escaping, he leaps off the cage with a Frog Splash, reminencent of Jimmy Snuka's leap years earlier.
The fans chan, "That was awesome, that was awesome, that was awesome!"
AJ climbs the cage once again, he looks back toward Daniels who is still lying on the mat. He shakes his head in disbelief and goes back down to Daniels. He offers his hand to help his friend to his feet. Danies reaches but grabs AJ's tights causing him to hit his head against the cage again. Daniels pounds his fists on AJ with several blows.
Daniels whips AJ into a turnbuckle and charges in after him. AJ slips through the ropes and Daniels crashed into the turnbuckle chest first. AJ pulls Daniels up to the top rope and hits his finisher, "The Styles Clash" from the top rope.
This time AJ climbs to the top of the cage, looks back, but this time he exits the cage and wins the match.
As the cage is lifted, Daniels is slowly recovering from the devasting manuever. He sits back against the ropes dejected, and hurt. He slowly exits the ring and makes his way up the ramp to the back.
JR reports, "This next match is interesting. With the WWE's PG rating, they could not sanction this match. They have allowed these two talents to come over to DOMINION to hopefully put an end to their heated feud."
JBL answers, "Yes, that is correct JR. Several weeks ago Randy Orton hit Cody with the ring bell opening a gash on his head that took nine staples. Cody has humilated Randy by "bagging" him after a sneak attack on Smackdown. Tongight they are not restricted by WWE policy and have vowed to settle their issues once and for all so they can move forward in their career."
JR adds, "I don't thing this match is going to be pretty. In fact, it's probably going to be the most brutal match in recent memory."
Cody Rhodes ring entrance music, Only One Can Judge" begins to play as he makes his way to the ring.
"Introducing first, in this unsanctioned NO HOLDS BARRED WWE match, from Marietta Georgia, Cody Rhodes."
JBL notes, Cody is the son of "The American Dream" Dusty Rhodes. He has quite a pedigree!
JR adds, "Yes not only did his father teach him the business, he was also trained by Al Snow. Not to mention his older brother Dustin Rhodes alson known as Gold Dust."
"And his opponent in this unsanctioned NO HOLDS BARRED WWE match, from St. Louis Missouri, "The Viper" Randy Orton!"
"Voices" begins to plas the the "Apex Predator" comes to the ring. The Madison Square Garden fans are clearly behind Orton as he climbs into the ring and poses in vintage Orton fashion.
Orton goes on the offense as the bell sounds. He kicks and punches Rhodes. He delivers a dropkick. Cody rolls out of the ring to regroup. Randy is having nothing of it and comes out after him. Rhodes grabs a chair and smashes it into Randy's legs as he rounds the corner of the ring. Rhodes then places some hard kicks of his own. Rhodes throws Orton into the steel steps shoulder first.
JR says, "Orton has a history of shoulder problems. Rhodes obviously is aware of this."
Rhodes applies a stepover armbar on Orton. He modifies it inot a cross armbar. Randy refuses to tap. He manages to get to his feet and uses his weight to pull Rhodes into a turnbuckle. Randy tosses Rhodes out of the ring but hold on to him. Orton drapes Rhodes across the second rope for a "rope hung DDT" Orton takes a chair of his own and smashes it across the back of Rhodes.
Orton places Rhodes in a "tree of Woe." He starts from the opposite side of the ring and runs and hits a delayed dropkick to Cody's face. Randy begins the Orton stomp on Rhodes. Orton finds a garbage can and smashes it over Rhodes head and then places it over Rhodes head. Randy climbs to the second rope and jumbs off on top of the garbage can crumbling it around Rhodes head and face.
Orton grabs the ring bell and hits Rhodes again busting him open like he did several weeks ago. Orton picks Rhodes up and hits a power slam.
The fans are chanting, "RKO, RKO, RKO!!"
Orton obliges and hits a hard RKO on Cody Rhodes. Orton goes to that "other place" and position himself on the other side of the ring. He runs and punts Cody in the head. He pins him for the win. Rhodes is carted out on a stretcher, and taken to local hospital for a possible concussion.
JR says, "I don't think I have ever seen Randy Orton so violent!"
"And now for your main event for the evening....introducing first from..."
As the introduction begin the camera shows the DOMINION World champion Bryan Danielson being attacked by some guys with hooded jackets.
"From Liepor's Port Tennessee Cowboy James Storm!" Storm's music, "Sorry About Your Damn Luck" begins as he makes his way to the ring with his beer in hand.
"Next, from Toronto, Ontario, Canada, Bobby Roode. Roode's music, "Take a Fall" plays as the Toronto native walks to the ring to a good reception from the New York crowd.
"And finally, from Aberdeen Washington, the DOMINION World Heavyweight Champion, Bryan Danielson! Danielson's ring entrance "Big Epic Thing" begins to play but no champion emerges. The cameras find Danielson being seen by paramedics in the back. They have taped his ribs and bandaged his head.
Paul Heyman tells him you are not able to go out there tonight, but Danielson stubbornly tells Heyman, "I will defend this title tonight!"
After a short delay, "Big Epic Thing" plays again and Danielson slowly comes to the ring. He is clearly injured from the sneak attack he received earlier. He suspects it was his two opponents.
The bell rings and the three go at it. Roode and Storm attak the champion. Together they whip Danielson into the ropes and as the champ comes back he sees the duo is about to him with a double clothesline but he ducks to avoid it. He turns and hits a double armed DDT on his two oppoents.
Danielson goes for a cover on Roode but Storm breaks it up. Danielson is up and dropkicks Roode over the top rope. Storm hits a body slam on Danielson. STorm beats down the champ while his partner recovers on the floor outside the ring. Danielson is set on the top rope by Storm and as the Cowoy attemps a superplex, Danielson blocks it by pushing Storm away. Storm hits the mat and as he is getting up the champ hits a missle drop kcik from the top rope.
He goes for the cover but Roode is in to break it up. Roode hits Danielson with an European Uppercut that staggers the champion. Roode his a standing dropkcik that sends Danielson into the turnbuckle. Roode whips Storm who hits Danielson with a clothesline in the turnbuckle. Danielson crumbles to the mat. Roode goes for the cover, but instinctively, Storm breaks it up. Storm and Roode eye each other cautionsly, if not leerily.
JBL reports, "It appears that Danielson's prediction may be about to come to pass."
JR adds, "You bet. It is the goal of every wrestler to become world champion. Friendships aside, it's all about the gold."
Danielson is up and is in between the two tag team partners. Storm goes for a superkick but the champion avoids it. Storm does, however, connect with Roode, knocking him out cold. Storm can't believe what has just happened.
Danielson seizes the loss of Storm's focus and takes down the Cowboy with a Russian Leg Sweep. He applies the Labelle Lock in the center of the ring. The Cowboy has no choice but to tap out.
"Your winner and still the DOMINION World Champion, Bryan Danielson!"
As Danielson celebrates in the ring the cameras find WWE stars The Miz, R-Truth making their way down the steps through the arena. The jump over the barrier and begin their attack on the champion. It is clear now, that the attack earlier was not Storm and Roode, but the duo known as Awesome Truth!
From the back, Colt Cabana, Jay Lethal and Sting rush to make the save. A brawl breaks out until the WWE superstars exit the ring and the DOMINION stars stand in the ring daring them to come back. They assist Danielson to his feet and hold all their hands high showing the fans that tonight DOMINION reigns supreme!
With that, The BRAWL in the FALL PPV comes to an end.
