What's Up With That? (Special Episode)
Hello and welcome to a special episode of What's Up With That? The show that looks at the bizare world of professional wrestling and its weirdness and asks "What's Up With That?" I'm Dare2believe and I'll be asking the question today on the following:
Last year Daniel Bryan was fired by the WWE for choking ring announcer I believe Justin Roberts by his tie when the Nexus first began, correct me about that if I'm wrong. This past week new World Heavyweight Champion grabs Jim Ross, the Hall of Fame announcer and you can hear Ross telling him that he's hurting him. It appeared as if Henry had JR by the tie. My question is if Daniel Bryan was fired for this, why wasn't Mark Henry, What's Up With That?"
I was glad to see a little bloodshed on Friday Night Smackdown this week when Randy Orton accidently hit Cody Rhodes wrong with the bell. Blood belongs in wrestling, ringside attendants covered Rhodes head with a towel and all we saw was his back after the blood began. We were able to see some pools of blood on the announce table, but nevertheless, why not allow blood in WWE, we see it all the time in video games and other TV shows, What's Up With That?
The Undertaker hasn't been seen on WWE TV since I think Wrestlemania, is he retired on only waiting on the next 'Mania to defend his "streak?" Come on Taker, either you're retired or you aren't, "What's Up With That?'
On a side note, I am glad that Michael "And I Quote" Cole has calmed down dramatically. He's still the "heel" announcer, but more able to take. Before, he was WAY overbearing and I wanted to mute the TV on every broadcast.

Cole can still be overbearing, but its still Vince who cues him and feeds him lines. I've seen WWE shows several times this year that were tv-14. Hopefully we're on track to get back to that rating full time. It opens up SOOOO many more storylines. WWE will be biased based on who they are pushing at any given time. They didn't care about D.Bryan when he was fired so it was easy to do. Henry is the champ, so he would have to legitimately choke Stephanie McMahon to get himself fired. I don't know that this is accurate but I heard that Bryan was fired for spitting on John Cena that first night when Nexus beat him up. word2k9 That's true. I could only guess why there seems to be a double standard. 1) The Chistain incident was planned whereas perhaps Bryan acted spontaneously. As we've learned recently spontaneous things (like daring to say "Vince McMahon") can really set him off. 2) Vince was just showing favoritism (or maybe HHH told him he didn't think Bryan had "it"). 3) Vince forgot to take his happy pills and Bryan paid for it.
