No Way Out Review

Here are my reviews of the No Way Out Matches. I don't recall the exact order of matches so I will go down the line as they appear on the prediction page.

1. Kane vs. Bryan vs. Punk for the WWE Championship

On paper this was going to be a classic three way. I predicted Kane would win. The reason, I really thought AJ was going to the "dark side" or at least The Big Red Monster's dark side. Punk continues to impress and now has well over 200 days as WWE champion. Quite a feat in this day and age. I would like to see WWE turn Bryan and Punk loose in a singles match with no gimmicks and see some classic wrestling.

2. Dolph Ziggler vs. Sheamus for the World Heavyweight Championship

I'm not a fan of Ziggler, however, he is becoming the new "showstoppa". He will be World Champion again, possibly this year. I think his weak link at this point other than his overconfidence is Vickie Guerrero. I am a big Sheamus fan and I like his never say die attitude and his fighting spirit. I would like to see an extended title run for this "fella" as well.

3. John Cena vs. Big Show in a cage

I predicted that Show would win due to Mr. John Laurenitis interference. I think WWE likes it when the "authority figure" gets the heat like he gets each and every week. I am glad that Cena won, I'd like to see Cena move on to MITB and win and cash in the brief case much like has been done to him before. Back to the point though, it took several WWE superstars to contain Show and keep him from touching the floor first. This looked like it was going to be one of those "photo finishes" where both superstars touched the floor at the same time and we have a controversial finishe.

4. Cody Rhodes vs. Christian for the Intercontinental Championship

Cody is at the top of his game right now. I think Christian is being rewarded for appearing at the Slammiversary PPV for TNA. I think Cody should have won the match. Even though I'm not a Cody Rhodes fans, he makes a great heel champion. To be frank, Christian is boring!

5. Beth Phoenix vs. Layla for the Diva's Championship

I expected Layla to defend the Diva's championship in this match. I think it's an unwritten rule that each Diva that wins that title gets at least a couple of months as champion. I expect that Beth will recapture the belt and she and Karma will feud later in the summer, maybe even at Summer Slam.

6. Santino Marella vs. Ricardo Rodriguez in a tuxedo match

In matches like this, it was inevitable that Santino would win this match. I can't believe this match was even scheduled.

7. Brodus Clay vs. David Otunga

On paper, Brodus should have squashed Otunga. I wish Jennifer's fiance would decide if he's gonna be a bodybuilder or wrestler. Personally, I think he would be better off in a law office back in Chicago chasing ambulances. Brodus won, woo hoo.

Overall, the No Way Out PPV was decent and I would rate it as perhaps 4 stars on a 5 star rating. I expect better out of the WWE since the are the leaders in the sports entertainment industry.
