WWE's tag scene, the post war era into the Post-Mcmahon era.

Now I know that the tag scene in WWE has been criticized to death, and there have been plenty of jeers and cheers over HHH's announce,emt that he is going to try to revive the Tag team divivsion to its former glory.
Now before I start analyzing the tag teams of today (WWE wxclusively, sorry TNA/ROH fans) I wanna check out the teams of the Post-war era, where we saw multiple teams collect tag gold in a variety of ways.

Now technically the tag team fame started in 1999 when The Hardyz beat Edge & Christain in the first ever tag team ladder match. the crowdgave both teams a standing ovation then, and the next night on RAW. Now those 2 pairs and the Dudley Boyz duked it out in a triangle ladder match that was named match of the year 2000.
They would face each other again in a series of TLC matches, one of which was named match of the year 2001.

Obviously these teams deserved the fame, but The Hardyz were soon seoerated by the WWE draft, and the Dudleyz would leave the WWE for TNA. Edge and Christain would become a great tag team, but there were other teams that would take over, such as on Smackdown after WWE changed the WCW tag team titles into the WWE tag team titles. This title would be held by great tag teams, such as Los Guerreros, Team Angle (wrestling's "self proclaimed" greatest tag team) and for a short time the Brothers of Destruction. These teames duked it out and their great matches could very well be named some of the greatest matches in WWE history.

Now I'm also wanna talk about 5 teams in the WWE scene that appeared in the 2005-2007 era, what was the known as the early years of the Modern era.

1.MNM- which stood for Mercury,Nitro, & Melina. This team would win the WWE tag team titles on their debut match, and go on to be one of the longest reigning champions, at least until...another team came along but thats another story.... These 2 would become 3 time tag team champions and even though it seems 1 is getting his best wishes for his future endeavors, 1 has won the title multiple times over even after his partner left and his gf slept with another guy. These 2 had great ring chemistry and could nail the perfect "Snapshot."

2.Paul London and Brian Kendrick- These 2 would go on 2 become the official longest reigning WWE tag team champions. These 2 beat such teams as MNM, KC James & Idol Stevens, William Regal and Dave Taylor, and Duece & Domino.

3. Duece and Domino- Thse 2 howver would get their rematch and become the new WWE tag team chamipons, "the dudes from the other side of the tracks didn't hve much in wrestling vut they had a lot in charisma and peopl loved to hate them, from when they beat London/Kendrick, until they finally lost to Matt Hardy and MVP

4. Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch: These 2 alone, were nothing, but together they were unstoppable defeating The Hardyz(!) in an outstanding match and woud go on 2 become one of WWE's greatest tage teams, if U ask me, to not have them in this list would be a crime.

5. John Morrison & The Miz: These 2 enemies became one "of the greatest tag teams of the 21st century" and one of the "Longest reigning tag team champions in recent history." I must admit now that last one rings true since no other team seems to have held the tag titles in the last 4 years or so then the Miz and Morrison. These two would degeat teams such as The Colons, MVP & Matt Hardy, and Cryme Tyme.

Now lets talk about the teams of 2day. I cna think of 4 teams I'd like 2 speak of.

1. David Otunga & Miacheal Mcgilligutty- These two were most certainly not the best team, just the fact that they used 2 be champions is the reason they're on here. The ymay have made an impact on WWE NXT, but now they're in the big leauges, and the sad thing is, their tag team is the only thing keeping them with their jobs.

2.The boom boom BOOM! squad: Kofi & Evan have made an impact as the new tag team champions, and they R something that WWE really needs, A pure high-flying tag team. I can see a Bright future 4 these 2, while although it may be a step back for Kofi, but its a big step froward for Evan, as he has won his first tag title, and How did The Miz start his rise to the top...yah thats right.

3. The Uso's: probably the nest tag team in WWE, these 2 R catchin everyone's eyes, wether it's there traditional Samoan battle cry or their great in-ring skills, The Uso's have a great future in the WWE.

4. The AWESOME Truth: Now I fully expect The Miz and R-Truth to become the next tag team champions. But if WWE screws up the conspiracy storyline then this could very well be the end of The Miz and R-truth.
