So this week

Match of the week

It was an easier choice than last week, only one really stood out for me. Randy Orton and Jerry Lawler vs The Miz and Alex Riley. What I liked about this match was that Orton and Miz are currently at the top of their game and they both partnered guys who are not. This meant that there was great wrestling between all 4 possible match ups. Miz has an ongoing feud with both Orton and Lawler and that played a heavy part in the match. Also I loved the ending where Miz abandonned Riley as hopefully this will put Riley back down the card where he can apply himself in a team or as a singles competetor. And Miz will stop winning matches because of his interfering. This will make Miz look stronger and more credible as a champion. This match also built up to the Royal Rumble match, so all round a very good match.

Superstar of the Week

This was again an easier choice but I still have to show my top 3.

In 3rd place – Edge – a good “cutting Edge segment” but no action this week

In 2nd place – Randy Orton – winning the Raw main event and showing dominance at the moment

In 1st place – CM Punk – Despite the weird initiation process for Nexus members this week he still showed how good he is on the microphone. He really knows how to play with the crowd and keeps everyone interessted when he talks, he had lots of TV time this week and WWE are clearly running with the Punk/Cena/Nexus theme. I can't wait till he gets back in the ring with all this build up.

SEGMENT OF THE WEEK

Now this was a very tough choice,

In 3rd place – CM Punk and Cena confrontation

In 2nd place – The “Cutting Edge” and the new Nexus on Smackdown

In 1st place – HBK into the Hall of Fame

How could that not be number 1 despite the two other very good segments I mentioned. He is well deserving of his Hall of Fame induction and it was great to actually see him at Raw rather than via satelitte. Also the bit with Del Rio was interessting and I honestly don't know what to make of it.

FLOP MOMENTS OF THE WEEK

I don't like criticizing WWE but inevitably each week there are moments where you have to,

This week nothing major, just CM Punk bluffing a suicide jump and R-Truth and Del Rio appearing on each others shows without Explanation.
