4Down weekly - Opening Show

The theme tune rolls (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RfCPJe8OxAc&feature=g-upl) and the audience cheers for the long awaited return of BingBong’s 4Down Weekly, Bigger and Better than ever! As the music dies down the voice over says, “Now Ladies and Gentlemen, Boys and Girls, People of all ages, please put your hands together for your host, the guy that put’s the Bing in BingBong, it’s………BINGBONG!” The audience cheer and BingBong runs out onto the stage to the music of The Hardy Boys and plays to the crowd as the noise calms.

“FINALLY, FINALLY! BINGBONG HAS COME BACK TO FOURDOWN! Thank you very much for that amazing welcome back to world of 4Down and everything that goes with it. First of I think it’s only right to give it up for cletus42o for the amazing job that he does keeping this fantastic website that we are all a part of running smoothly. I like to think of this as more than just a great website but also a community. A community which has numerous different concepts and features, and because of this I have decided to create this show as a way for people to keep up to date about all the goings on across the entire site.”
After saying this BingBong makes his way over to his seat on the left hand side of the stage and sits down having taken a glass of water off his side table.
“I should apologise in advance that since this is the first episode there may be a few issues and I will be talking a lot about how the show is going to work, but hopefully in the weeks following it will improve. But to save boring you with all that now, I shall just explain as we go along. So without further ado let’s get on with the show, and what better way to do that than with a Blast from the Past…”

There is some applause as the voice over announces what we are about to see. “The Blast from the Past feature is a section where our host BingBong will look at a scene from the past either of WWF or from the 4Down site itself. He will then discuss it or invite a guest of the show to discuss it and hopefully spark some interesting debate in the comments after the show.”

BLAST FROM THE PAST

This week’s ‘Blast from the Past’ features what was considered a historical moment of Fourdow.org, the creation of FWF (Fourdown Championship Wrestling) >http://www.fourdown.org/shows/fwf by robbiecam21.
“Well, personally this was one of the greatest things that came around with relation to fantasy wrestling in the last few years (certainly since I’ve been here). It was so popular to start with that I myself asked to set up a second show so that there was effectively a Raw and Smackdown brand. FWF was so popular because it involved members of this site being on a roster for fantasy wrestling. It was a great shame that it fizzled out a bit as writers became too busy and less time to participate gave it less excitement. However one person has been carrying it on and with a great PPV the other day I think great credit should be given to word2k9 for keeping alive the world of FWF. It would be fantastic if this type of fantasy show could become more popular again!”
Applause erupts after BingBong’s comments as a video of the best of FWF rolls.
Voiceover, “Now we have a report from our Prediction Games Correspondent, DangerousDan.”

PREDICTION GAMES CORRESPONDENT

A prepared report rolls, with DangerousDan telling us about what has been happening in the prediction games section this week.
“Welcome to the section dedicated to breaking down the prediction games and site questions. Since there aren't currently any open prediction games the focus this week will be on the No Way Out PPV. Overall everybody did very well and the winner was selected by the majority for every single match. Congratulations to Anakron who took 1st place with a score of 146/150 (97.3%). The closest thing we had to an upset was the WWE Title match where only about half of the players picked CM Punk (52.81%). Perhaps a lot of people (myself included) figured that the AJ storyline would finally reach a climax where she would side with one of the challengers. Alas the plan was to hold off on having any story advancement so that she could come out dressed up as Kane and skip around the ring during a relatively meaningless tag match. The only other match that seemed to cause a bit of doubt was the Cena/Show Cage match (where 61.1% picked Cena). My suspicion is that a good number of players figured that Big Johnny was getting over too well as a heel to be “fired”. That may be true but I had heard unconfirmed reports that he will be brought back very soon by the Board of Directors as some sort of advisor (regardless of whether or not that makes any sense). The report finishes and the cameras are back at the studio where BingBong is standing by a screen with the names of all the members of Fourdown written on it. The Voiceover tells us, “Each week 4Down Weekly will be having a competition of various different sorts, some weeks it will be questions and other weeks it will be more creative and imaginative things. The idea is that each week the competition will involve you, the Fourdown universe, sending answers and applications to BingBong in the hope of victory and the person who has the most points at the end of every two/three months will receive a grand prize (to be announced at a later date).”

COMPETITION TIME
“Yes, thank you, mysterious voiceover person, you have pretty much summed it up for me. I ask you all to do something, those that do get a point and of those the first 3 or the best 3 will get an extra point or two depending. This board will tally it up and their maybe opportunities to get more points as the show continues. So the first competition is as follows…a simple question…How many active members are there on the site this season? So, how many people are there who have a rank for this season’s prediction games? Comment or send me a PM the first five correct comments will get an extra point and the first 5 correct PMs will get two extra points but remember there is a point just for answering correctly. Enjoy.”
The audience starts to shuffle, thinking about the competition as a live feed shows our next correspondent brandoni998.

4DOWN FANTASY WRESTLING CORRESPONDENT
“Hello everyone. There's a lot of things happening in the 4down Fantasy world this week . With Shows such as Alpha and Gamma , DCW , TCW , and the NEW IFWF and the NEW GCW , we can say the fourdown fantasy blogs are better than ever . Two of many shows to look out for are Dominion Championship Wrestling ( D.C.W.) run by dare2believe and Gamma Championship Wrestling (G.C.W). D.C.W. is one of fourdown's most up and coming shows . It's becoming one of the best , and I will much assure you , it's gonna' be among the elite one day . Gamma Championship Wrestling is run by me , brandoni998. I'm not doing this for "publicity" for my brand , I seriously think my brand is up-and-coming . With UOFLFan7 writing Smackdown , slicedcheese22 writing NXT , and with me, brandoni998 , writing Raw, it's gonna be one of the best blogs around sooner rather than later . The cameras go back to BingBong sitting on the sofa in the studio; he’s joined by the shows WWE correspondent word2k9
“Thanks for that great report brandoni998, we all hope you continue the good work. Now ladies and gentlemen I am delighted to be joined by Fourdown legend and our very own WWE correspondent word2k9. So word, what’s the word?”

WWE CORRESPONDENT
“Thanks BingBong. Well it has been a big week in WWE as PPV weeks typically are. This week featured No Way Out as well as the weekly shows.
We'll start chronologically with Smackdown. It was your run of the mill PPV set-up program. The most interesting event was Dolph Ziggler pinning Sheamus (with crowd support) in an attempt to get us to believe he had a chance in the World Championship match at No Way Out where he was replacing Alberto Del Rio.
The highlight of the PPV was the tuxedo match...jk. The main event saw John Cena defeat Big Show (surprise, surprise) with the help of 5 or 6 allies. No championships changed hands, so it wasn't the most eventful PPV besides the Laurinaitis firing.
Raw was waaaay down this week after last week's excellent 3-hour program. There was an awkward segment with Cyndi Lauper, Del Rio was apparently healthy enough to wrestle the day after he missed a World Championship opportunity, AJ dressed like Kane, and there was no real main event for the second time this month. Last time saw Cena humiliate Michael Cole, this time he did the same to former GM Johnny Ace.
That's what's good with it in WWE this week.”
The crowd cheers as word2k9 completes his report and music hits as BingBong and word2k9 hug. Then word2k9 leaves the stage and the lights dim as we go into the final segment of the show.

BINGBONG’S TWO CENTS
“Well everyone, we have come to the end of the very first show of the new and improved 4Down Weekly. I would like to dedicate the final words of each show just to give you some of my thoughts on things.

Firstly I have a question…Where the flip is all the non-fantasy blogging? What has happened to PPV reviews and all the debates on storylines? We seriously need to get some life back into this sort of writing. Some brave people are trying to continue but comments are few and opinions are weak. Let’s make an effort to change this, when I first joined non-fantasy outnumbered fantasy blogs by three to one at least. Please, I think we all need a break from reading fantasy shows sometimes.

Secondly, and perhaps contradictory, I would like to give a huge shout out to all those members who have stuck around on this site through thick and thin. No matter how bad WWE and TNA might get it is nice to know that people like you keep contributing to this amazing site.

And finally, I wish to announce that on next week’s show we will have a huge, no a massive name right here in the studio. I will have my very first guest appearance from the biggest name in Fourdown…Until next time…”
The theme hits as the audience cheers and BingBong leaves the stage.
The show ends and the credits roll.
