I'm using a lot of great jQuery plugins I've found around the web, but a lot of times
I have to make additions to them to suit my needs. I'll put them up here for download.
If you're the original author and would prefer for me to take the modified files down,
let me know. If I did not provide credit to the right person, either, please let me know.
I doubt I will be putting up any ColdFusion code at any point, but I've received a lot of
assistance and have used many code snippets from
Ben Nadel.
Great site with more ColdFusion information than you could ever hope to absorb. You owe it
to yourself to check it out.
I also use a very heavily-modified version of
BlogCFC. I'm not sure
of the exact version, but the last updated date in blog.cfc is 1/14/08. If you've seen the way the blogging works here at the site,
each user has his or her own blog to post to. I repurposed the categories of BlogCFC to be individual users. I still have access to the
BlogCFC Administrator for the purposes of managing the blog as a whole and an easy listing of all blog entries and comments, but had to
build a second interface for posting blogs from the single user perspective. I did post a few blogs detailing part of the process (including
how I "merged" the BlogCFC application variables and settings with the existing site application) but feel free to contact me if you'd like
more details.
All other aspects of the website outside of jQuery plug-ins I haven't mentioned were built from scratch. That includes all
scoring/ranking calculations, all display modules including custom-built custom tags for generating content blocks across the site
(including this one here), the 404 handling which gives easy URLs for PPVs, user profiles, league pages, and RSS feeds, and plenty more.
If anyone would like to see code snippets or details on how any of it is done, don't hesitate to ask.
I have been developing professionally with ColdFusion since 1997. I am an Adobe Certified Expert in Advanced ColdFusion 8. I loves me some
ColdFusion and JavaScript.
