Where will TNA be in 5 years?, well I believe it will be in one of two place either in our memories or in the same place as it is now, the second rate WWE.

If it is no longer around I think it will be due to the Dixie Carters accountant finally getting his hands on the figures, the company is unlikely to ever turn a profit because it has the WWE juggernaut against it, a name known around the world even by those with no interest in wrestling. It is like creating a new cola and expecting to better Coke or Pepsi the brand name and money behind them are just to big and powerful to compete with. TNA to survive might have to downscale because even as rich as they are do not have finances needed to compete with the WWE on an equal footing.

If the company is still here it will still be the same full of wrestlers working hard hoping for their dream move to the WWE, maybe once they get there they might hate it but you can be sure they want to try it, the WWE can make you a household name Hogan, Rock, Austin and Cena all known to people outside of the wrestling world, this can never happen in the TNA, want to act in films do more mainstream TV you can if your liked in the WWE, but no matter how much your liked in TNA this is not going to happen, also the WWE has the Granddaddy of them all Wrestlemania, something every wrestler at one stage of their career has surely dreamed of competing at, nothing TNA ever put on will compare to this.

The old washed up wrestlers no longer wanted by Vince or have a slight substance abuse issue will still turn out for TNA taking a large salary, because TNA believe that big names will make big rating wrong, until the TNA name is as big as the WWE whose actually wrestling will make little impact on the ratings.

So in summing up TNA in 2016 will either be the same or in the distant past, maybe to succeed it need to become a company famous for its quality of matches and make its name that way respected and watched by the wrestling world, instead of going after the mainstream audience that the WWE has got all sown up.

The smaller and newest leagues have no chance of catching up with some of the bigger leagues in the prediction games and 4up, so I thought what about if we did an average score chart as well, ie all points scored divided by the amount of members the league has, this would give a true account of which league has the best predictors, what does everyone else think.

Monday nights RAW was one of the strangest episodes I have seen for a long time, but as it supposed to be a PG show does anyone else think that the whipping of husky harris was PG I dont, now it makes no difference to me if the show is PG or XXX but this seemed to have no point to it and it just made uncomfortable viewing, following this CM Punk plays a suicide angle also obviously strange and he was blantantly not going to jump as there was no sign of any of the WWE foam pits, however the height and the rigging he was wearing made me think about Owen Hart and how accidents do happen, have the WWE forgot their past or dont they care, I am sure that Bret Hart would not have been impressed had he of seen it.

Now there are two points to this what I think they need to do and what they actually will do.

What I think is necessary for TNA to improve in 2011.


1. Return the womens division to its previous standard, the womens division in TNA was outstanding at one point with excellent wrestlers like Awesome Kong, Gail Kim, ODB etc they were technically good and entertaining to watch, this division has now been watered down with the exception of Mickie James to the standard of the WWE divas.

2. Make the X division the exciting attraction it once was using the best cruiserweights around rather than just using it as a second rate belt, it need to be completely seperate from the Heavyweight title with great prestige attached to it rather like the junior heavyweight belts in Japan.

3. Create some new fresh talent rather than just hiring anyone the WWE has future endevoured. Often the reason that Vince has let them go is they are just not good enough, TNA are just using them as names to attract business.

4. Stop Flair Foley Jarrett etc challenging for the belts as a one off non championship match at a PPV maybe but it is just too unrealistic to allow these once great but now washed up wrestlers challenge for straps, it devalues the title and lowers the reputation of the younger wrestler they are facing.

What TNA will actually do in 2011

They will continue to hire ex WWE wrestlers regardless of talent, use old wrestlers and generally continue to make the same mistakes as they have done over the last 12 months.

TNA need to forget about WWE and trying to compete with them it will never happen the WWE are just too big a company these days. The most worrying thing might be that the Dixie Carters get fed up of the amount of money TNA is costing and pull their backing, then it will be bye bye TNA.

But the thing is it is wrestling we are talking about and just about anything can happen and probably will.

Obviously 'Taker has been the leader of the locker room for many year, he is greatly respected and not afraid to take on Vince, but as he is slowly winding down his career, who is going to replace him. It has to be someone who has been around quite a long time and has some power in the WWE, people like Triple H and John Cena are out due to their alligence to the company, who does that leave Big Show? not if he wants to keep making movies. William Regal, Mark Henry, Charvo not enough power and lucky to have a job. Edge Maybe but my money would be on Rey Mysterio as he has already took on Vince and won a couple of times so would be a good choice, whoever it is however it will mark a huge change in the internal politics of the WWE.

Hello to everyone who enjoyed or even didnt enjoy my blogs that I used to post about a year ago, well I stop due to personal problems, however those resolved themselves with the surprise birth of my daughter Sorrell, who we had thought we had lost, anyway enough of the sentiment, back the the business in hand WRESTLING. God I have a year to talk about nexus, jeff hardys heel turn etc all that I know you would have examined in great detail, so I thought I would briefly talk about NXT. I know the letters just strike horror into all wrestling fans, but forget about the wrestling just think of it as a comedy show based around wrestling and you will enjoy it so much more I promise. I love it it makes me laugh and cringe each week, people are allowed to say what they think, even if they say it is crap which surely is a first for WWE programming, so dont slag it off just think of it as half an hour (if you sky+-tevo it) of fun. speak to you all soon!!!!!!!

I am starting a monthly review of different wrestling books, I own well over 100 so I will have enough to go on with for a little while, my first is Eric Bischoffs book Controversy Creates Cash.

This book starts with Eric being backstage about to appear on RAW as its general manager, it discuss the secrecy that occured to make this happen. It then gives us a bit of backround on Eric growing up and family life. It moves on through Erics time at Vince Garnes organisation and getting a job a WCW as a third string announcer, then Erics amazing rise up the ranks until he is running the whole show. The NWO is covered in great detail and then the fall of WCW.

The book is quite good but I feel that Bischoff does not accept any responsibility for the downfall of the company, just takes the credit for the good bits. Obviously the WCW was scrapped by its parent company which he had no control over, but if it had not been in such a downward spiral and was still making money, then maybe it would still be here today! It is interested to hear what changes he made to company and which of those changes the WWF started using, whatever you think of Bischoff he is a very important figure in the history of professional wrestling and this book does mention the good things he has done.

Overall I would give this book a 7/10 rating.

RAWS guest host are they a good idea or not, im unsure as some of them have been great and some have been just awful! Some unintential moments of comedy have occured Summerfest anyone and Cowboy Bob Thornton, classic moments! But then people like ZZ Top, Jeremy Piven and the annoying little one, were terrible. I think the main problem with the concept is that there is no continuing feud going on with the GM, ala Vickie and the Undertaker or William Regal and him turning the lights of and stopping matches, generating real heat for there persona! each week starts afresh and one of the main reasons of the GM was to hold together the storylines. On the plus side they can choose whether the GM is heel or face for the night depending on the storyline. So I am still unsure, Its works with good guests, but is really bad with the bad ones, and I think that soon it will have run its course and we will return to normal, although the amount of free advertising Vince is getting from this idea, might cause it to drag on and on and on! what does anyone else think?

Apparently the police raided Jeffs house today and found about $2500 dollars of various drugs mainly painkillers some steriods and a trace of cocaine. Matt supposedly paid the $125,000 bail for him and he is now back at home. The WWE must be happy that it happened when he was not working for the company, as it is obviously very bad publicity for the company. If he had been working for the WWE it would have been an automatic firing for him as a third violation of the wellness policy. The WWE however now are able to rehire him in the future although I would think not for a year or so at least, as the violation was not while he was working for the company! This is obviously bad news and Jeff was not speaking the truth when he talked about being clean, unless the drugs were not his, hmmm doubtful!!!

Is Reys suspension a work? The only reason I ask is that this suspension is on the home page of WWE.COM an unparelled event, they normally squirrel away any bad news in the deepest depths of it website! I am wondering if Rey is going to be the new Jeff Hardy for CM Punk to rant about, with Jeff gone CM Punk needs a new drug cheat to rant about in his straight edge way! He is obviously going to start a program with the Undertaker, but he is untouchable with such jibes. To continue his heel push he need someone new to take to task about a bad lifestyle and who better or more unlikely that Rey the family favourite?
